Jo that baby is sweeet looking that color looks very familiar  what kind of mph are you see???

JO - PANTERABOATS 08-20-2005 01:21 PM

Re: New Cobalt Blue Pantera 36' Survivor Pics.

Hey Craney,

With the twin 525 EFIs spinning 5 Blade Hydromotives on the rev limiter boat ran right at 90 MPH.I feel with a pair of 30 Labbed 5 blade Hydros there is a real 93 - 94 MPH in it.The motors were still breaking in and it was 95 degrees with high humidity and that does not help.

This boat also has Bravo 1 XR Spotmaster Shorty's which are 2 MPH slower than a regular XR drive but increase the handling of the boat at high speeds and turns with its deeper skegs.I am excited to try one with a staggered motor configuration and standard XR drives.I think near 100 MPH speeds are realistic.

5 blade props are also a bit slower than a 4 blade prop but increase handling in rough water and mid range speed. " Speed is nothing without control ".

Regards,

JO

Full length Cabin pics.

Cabin was finished in White Vinyl with Blue light panels. We thru bolted the inner deck hatch rings with socket cap screws with castle nuts on the inside to give it a much nicer racier finish. Porta Potti is located in the center.Cabin has over 5 feet of head room.

what is the difference on turning the props in or out ??

helps some older heavier boats with stern lift, just remember forward becomes reverse and visa versa

Chest Rockwell 08-31-2005 07:59 AM

Re: New Cobalt Blue Pantera 36' Survivor Pics.

The forward and reverse shift positions remain the same. Turning them in or out is a matter of what side you put a counter rotation lower on. This allows the shifters to still operate in up for forward and back for reverse. changing the props and not the lower would cause the shift positions to change.

Some step hulls need more more bow lift and some require more stern lift to run flat so builders set prop rotation when testing boats for the first time.

are we talking about bravo drives or not? swapping the props changes the direction propulsion, swapping drives does nothing.

 I hardly think that is an accurate statement. Nothing against Pantera, they build a great boat, even wore my Pantera polo one sunday for the shootout broadcast but Cigarette has more and newer models and rig as well as anyone.

I think saying Pantera continues to build a great boat and this 36 is a prime example is closer to accurate.

NO SH1T ...pretty shabby lookin panel. probably done aftermarket or by the owner. looks like they had vinyl labels made and couldnt get them on straight.

plus ..it looks like holes for switches were not drilled perfectly straight either

does Cig warranty their hulls for the original owner?

How much is a 36 or 38 Cig similarly rigged? 100k more?

hell... Pantera's name is just as good or better than Cig anyway.
