On a positive note.... If you can't drive it you can't break it

It's a good thing Pantera has a lifetime warranty on their hulls, and not a 3 or 5 year...

The boat is probably still sitting there with one motor installed..

Maybe he should BUT, does the man have his boat yet?
I see the 36 is still for sale... cheap. That boat has 525's in it....hmm.

you mean the engine that he had to ship to them to finish th boat, after he paid for the other two right?

Wrong information. We have been an OEM account for 30 years with Mercruiser.Sonny did not ship us any 525 EFI or pay for two other. Sonny is well aware when he will have his boat. Later, PEPE

Bull****!!! Sonny paid for the two 496's and one additional 525. I know this because I'm trying to work a deal to sell him my two 525's so that he can get his boat finished and take his new one in trade, if i decide to upgrade my motors to Nor-Tech 720 EFI's. Its too bad that the other thread got deleted, because in there you stated that the boat would be complete two weeks after you received the first 525. I am trying to keep my mouth shut on this, but when you outright distort the truth I just can't help myself. Later, Chuck

Re: Sorry to see the DomZ thread go...

The truth is Sonny purchased a 28' with twin 496 HO and decide to upgrade from twin 496 HO to twin 525 EFI.Sonny knows what he upgraded to. He has not paid for anything extra only what he purchased. That is as far as I am going to talk on this matter.Later,PEPE

the way i look at this situation is of interest for only two people pantera and sonny.chris 288 you are always acting like a little boy stirring up bs for something that is of no interest to you or anyone else on this thread. it seems you only come to the pantera section only to post negative comments on this thread.grow up already !!!!!!!!! sonny should be the only one doing the posting.

Just keeping this fiasco in potential Pantera buyers minds is enough for me to keep this thread alive. If you don't like it don't read it. The bottom line is that the boat is still not delivered.

if i recall correctly it was sonny that requested to have the old thread removed for this same reason.the only thing you 4 or 5 instigators have been doing for a long time is acting like morons and making it harder for sonny and pantera to resolve this situation between themselves like adults.that is my take on it.robert

Wrong...very wrong. It is information, pro or con, to a prospective purchaser. If I was in the market for a Pantera and I found out that Pantera24 deleted a thread such as the original DomZ thread, I'd be very angry. I don't have unlimited funds, I work hard for my money and I would want to know how my investment is going to managed by the company I contract with...period.

speed buff 12-16-2005 07:05 PM

Re: Sorry to see the DomZ thread go...

it was deleted by pantera 24 because the person having the boat built by pantera "sonny" asked him to do it.you few guys should respect his decision then.there have been a few other members on this site that have had new boats delivered to them recentley and seem to be very happy with their experience.i hope pantera and sonny can put this chapter behind them soon. good luck to all.it is not my problem so i have no more to say.robert

not a little boy stirring up chit at all,,,, With all the crap Pantera has pulled over the years it needs to be known and not covered up like it always is. It pisses me off because I was this close ( me holding my fingers together ) to placing a deposit on a 28, I still wouldn't have my boat that I have enjoyed for the last two seasons, I'd be i n court trying to get my 100K back... I feel for the guys that have been and continue to wait for a 2002 boat...

speed buff 12-16-2005 08:22 PM

stop being so sinic.no one is waiting on a 2002 boat !!! pantera posted that sonny would have a 2006 boat on the last thread. atleast they are not quitters like a few other boat companys that have done recentley.there are a few board members that have received new boats and are very happy with their product, whats up with that ?? the richie's 28 single for example. always trying to stir up bs in the pantera section.

I guess they can supply you with a hull in a reasonable amount of time as long as you buy and send them a motor to install in it..

Here we go again LOL. I wondered how long it would take to get this one going again? Well, probably longer than it will take to get it "poofed" again.

Seriously, a lot of people (most actually) feel for Joe and family, and no-one ever doubts the product, but a potential buyer should know what has transpired. This has all the indicators of a cash flow problem, more than a production problem. Face it, there are very good people, with the worlds best of intentions, that go broke everyday, and someone else pays. (many are very honest, and truly sorry, they were just better "workers" than business people)

i couldn`t agree with you more. the problem here is that their lifestyle, even today, doesn`t suggest that they are broke. the more you dig on with these people the more you find. as for pepe put some hull i.d numbers on here to prove to potential customers that this boat, which has been in progress for a few years now, will be an 06` model. what are the legalities of calling it a 2006 if the hull was made prior to that. and engine serial numbers so everyone can see who bought those motors and what the warranty details are. dont lie. the last thread had all this in the open and you yourself verified it to be true.dont make me copy and paste some archived stuff because even though the thread it gone i still have it. i just hope this guy gets his boat soon thats all i can say for now

It should be of concern to anyone considering having Pantera build them a boat if they value their money and their mental health. If I were in Sonny's shoes, I would honestly not be able to sleep at night. These kinds of issues can ruin peoples lives. Pantera's problems should not be passed on to anyone unknowingly. Did you ever think that keeping this information suppressed may actually help Sonny because someone else may pony up some cash for a new boat and then maybe they can finish his and then maybe the next guy will be the one waiting for a boat in 2 or 3 years. Information, good or bad is power. Unwaivering support of a company, no matter what the circumstances, is wrong. I hope everybody gets their product at some point and I hope Pantera can stay in business, but mis-leading people or withholding valid, truthful information is just plain dishonest.

The same information has been told over and over that Sonny 28' boat is behind schedule and needs to be delivered by the same 3 or 4 guys.
We communicate with Sonny directly since it is HIS boat order. If you look at this thread most posts are from the same group of members that have an ax to grind. We are doing the BEST THAT WE CAN !!!!!!!!!!!
We have had a tough couple of years like most people in the business and yes we had fallen behind on a few orders but we have also delivered a quality boat to our customers at the "RIGHT PRICE" and Sonny will be next.
We have worked on correcting our problem of selling the boats way below where they should of been sold these last couple of years. Our pricing was much much lower than anyone else.
Now if the same couple of members want to continue to post negative and some mis- leading information than go ahead and knock your self out. I DO NOT GIVE A **** ANYMORE !!!!!!
My Family Could of very easily given up on this business a few years ago after our accidents and tough economy like other South Florida boat company's have done so but we are fighters and love what we do. 30 years and we are all still together and that is much more than alot of people can claim.

I guess you few members are just PERFECTin every way !!!!

Why dont you pick up the phone and call me here at Pantera at 305-948-5600 if you got some constructive suggestions unless you just want to sit behind a computer and continue to post negative comments over and over. Later, Pepe

Have a nice day !!!

all anyone wants is what they paid for, is that to much to ask. i tried to call you and no one answered, all we want at this point is for you to make your court ordered payments that YOU ASKED FOR due to your original breech of contract in 2000 this way you will no longer be contempt of court as you currently are. but than again i guess that this is how you feel business should be carried out. once you have someones money..... F#*$ THEM. if i did business like you i wouldn`t have to work. people like you are bad for the boating industry.

Pantera has paid your Family $ 50,000 already of the $ 62,000 your Father put down on a 28' order that he backed out off.Hopefully balance will be taken care of in 2006 so we can both move on.
Approximately 1000 satisfied Pantera owners these last 30 years.I guess your Father must of believed in our product when he came and put a deposit on one and was going to represent them in OHIO.Later,PEPE

BY the way I just called you a few minutes and the recording says that you are closed for the holiday's and left you a message to call me back at exactly 2:10 PM Eastern time.

Pepe , Are You Able To Speak For Pantera Powerboats? Because Legally You Have Nothing To Do With This Company. It Would Be A Shame If Jo Is The One Being Named In Contempt When Your Running The Show. As For Your Numbers The Are Not Correct, As Jo And Dads Atty Kevin Have Discussed This Figure On Numerous Occasions. Believe It Or Not All Of These Years Interest Has Been Growing On This Judgment Amount If You Would Like To Get A Payoff Amount I Can Make That Number Available To You As Of Today. But I Don`t Know How You Could Pay The Debt Off When You Havn`t Been Able To Make Most Of Your Payments To Date. Dad Didn`t Back Out Of A Boat Deal, Jo`s Company Pantera Did They Were Two Years Plus In Breach Of Contract As Jo Admitted In Court. And Just So You Know Dad Ended Up Purchasing A Cigarette Top Gun When He Realized That Pantera Was Incapable Of Finishing His Initial 28` That He Ordered. He Is Very Happy With His Top Gun , He Actually Got To Receive A Finished Product When He Wrote The Check For His Boat. As For Those Still Waiting For Their Pantera`s To Be Built, Good Luck! The Legal Battle Will Be Long And Drawn Out, It Has Been Six Years And My Dad Hasn`t Even Received Half Of His Money.

Don't you know you should only capitalize the first word after a period, unless it is a Name?
Sorry about the english lesson, but I as an immigrant, had to learn english when I came to this country when I was 14, so I just figured most people that were born here would have a good handle on the language by now, and it just really bothers me to witness the amount of illiteracy so rampant here!

Man this is the same old crap that has been written forever on this topic. Outdrive man you obviously have nothing good to say and from the sounds of it don't have anything invested in this issue. You obviously are riding your fathers shirt tails, do you even have a boat of your own? Or do you go and beg Daddy for the keys to his so you can go impress your friends? Trust me I am not going to defend anyones position here. 2 years is WAY too long to wait for a boat that you have already put money down on but this issue should be discussed between Pantera and the parties involved not anyone else. As for those of you who think that this should be an open topic so noone else gets screwed and to ruin Pantera's reputiation. Its going to take alot more than writing crap in here to shut their business down. You don't stay in business for 30 years on accident. And believe me I would bet only 5% of the people putting money down on a Pantera even log on to OSO. Also Outdrive Man if this issue of getting paid by Pantera should be discussed between Pantera and your Father and if it is as big of an issue as you make it out to be why isn't your Father defending him self on here? Also if Pantera isn't making their court ordered payments then they should be taken back into court and delt with accordingly. That being said either the money isn't that big an issue and your blowing this way out of proportion or your one of those people that just wants to trash talk and put down a company without really doing anything about it. Just my 2 cents

As For My Grammar It Is Oso`s System That Changes The Capitalization. As For My Boats I Own A 2004 21` Polaris Jet Boat As Well As A Set Of 2003 Polaris Genesis I Pwc`s, Which I Think Is Pretty Good For 24. As For My Dad Getting On Here, He Would Rather Let Me Handle It On This Front As For Pantera Being Shut Down, Foreclosure On Them Is Currently On The Table. Jo Should Be Getting The Documents Containing The Final Solution This Week Just Before Christmas. As For Airing This Out On Oso. History Has Taught Me That Every-time I Open This Topic On Here Jo Decides To Send A Check. As For Pantera`s Legal Problems Go To The Miami Dade Court Records Web Page Enter Pantera And You Will See That There Are Plenty Of People Currently Waiting On Money I Mean Really Ask Jo Why The Blue 36` Didn`t Go To Texas As It Was Suppose To With Several Other Boats That The Same Dealer Also Ordered.none Of Which Were Completed. All Of This Is Public Record For Anyone Interested To Read. As For You Mr Big Daddy Lend Pantera The $100,000 They Currently Owe My Family And It Can Be Your Problem. Thing Is They Used The Money That My Family Sent For A Boat To Bankroll Their Racing Now That The Money Is Gone They Can No Longer Race. I Only Ride My Fathers Coattails In The Same Fashion That Your Hero Jo Does. Only Difference Is I Own And Paid For All Of My Boats In Closing I Don't Have To Ruin Pantera`s Reputation They Did A Good Job Of That On Their Own
