Congrats Tomas_wallin

Tomas is a member here on OSO and he is the new owner of my 28 Pantera, and I wish him much luck with it. Looks like another Pantera in Sweden. Also would like to thank Joe at Pantera for taking the time to answer many of the questions for Tomas. You got a great boat Tomas, and it was a pleasure meeting you :drink:

The Pantera is still waiting at the shipping company in NJ. The cargo ship was cancelled because it has to do some repairs...

Now the shipping date is March 31st, so it will (hopefully) arrive to Sweden around April 21st and I will get it home to Stockholm a couple of days later.

Then there are a few minor things that has to be done before it hits the water. Hopefullt the first ride will be in the first week of May. :evilb: :D

Waiting for that boat is worse than watching paint dry.

Ask Lukiepal, it's his old boat... But I've been told somewhere in the 80's.

tomcei 03-23-2006 06:28 AM

Re: Congrats Tomas_wallin

Sweet.... Is that boat is a little lighter ? (cabin?)

80+ will be awsome :D

Tomas, YOUR Pantera looks great, though it looks to be in a different place then where I left it. I received your package yesterday.

lukiepal 03-23-2006 06:34 AM

Re: Congrats Tomas_wallin

Its the lightest 28 Pantera that Joe built, ran F1, 1/2 cabin, notched transom, speed was around 85 - 86 mph 509 Blower motor 750+ hp

I hope it's ok if you hold on to the package for a couple of weeks?!

Which one do you prefer? J-W red or Highland Park? :drink:

My Pantera is now on its way to Sweden, it was loaded and shipped last saturday. It will arrive to Sweden in about three weeks. :evilb: Then it's just the 275miles of trailering left.

Perfect timing for some pre summer trails! :drink:

Re: Congrats Tomas_wallin

Only one week left!!! :evilb:

It will arrive to Europe (Germany) today and to Gothenburg on friday. Then it will go through customs and be ready for pick up on tuesday or wednesday.

Re: Congrats Tomas_wallin

Tomas , One week left , you must feel like a kid waiting for Christmas . Have fun . Hey I'm just curious , how much did it cost to get her shipped over to Sweeden ?

tomas_wallin 04-19-2006 09:11 AM

Re: Congrats Tomas_wallin

It's not too expensive - $3500-4000 inkluding full insurance. Takes about three weeks.

tomas_wallin 04-24-2006 12:25 PM

Re: Congrats Tomas_wallin

It cleared the customs earlier today so we leave for Gothenburg tomorrow.

Those f****ers that has handled the Pantera during loading/unloading has bent or cracked, or whatever, some support bar  The one I spoke to didn't know what bar but I REALLY hope that they are talking about the "front stand" on the trailer. The first that came to my mind was the external steering rods... But hopefully I'm just beeing naive. :(

Talked to them again today and it is the front stand that has got beaten up. I can definately live with that!

I'll post some pics of the only (known) Pantera 28 in Sweden as soon as we get back! :evilb:

YEY! :evilb:

Just came home after the 300 miles long drive towing the Pantera!!! :D NOTHING was broken, it's just as I remember it from when I last saw it in NJ.

Right now it's at a boat builder that is going to do some minor gelcoat repairs before the splash!
