Siphoning gas from a 24

Has anyone tried siphoning gas from a 24'. I am trying to drain a lot of gas out of my boat for the trip cross country and I can not get a small diameter hose into the tank through the fuel fill.It stops about 3 feet and gets hung up. What gives. Jeff

Go into the fuel line at the fuel pump. If you have an electric pump, just hook it up and pump away.................

I do it all the time going right in the tank under the back seat

I did exactly that this weekend to drain old gas in yet another boat in the stable now :evilb:
