Launched!

We launched the Pantera at noon yesterday.

Everything went really well except that the batteries were a bit low on amps.

I think we went about 40 miles during the day. :evilb:

So far only flat water.

It was also the first really nice spring/pre summer day with 73 degrees :evilb: , but some cold spots out on the water.

Cool looking boat!! BTW....did you know that you are one of the few Pantera owners that have a cut bottom. B-Stubb has one also.

Enjoy the ride!!

Thanks guys! :drink:

What do you mean by "cut bottom"? Do you mean the notched transom?

I don't really know how many, but there are a few... Perhaps MANGE knows?

We have this archipelago with about 30.000 islands and MANY restaurants and pubs scattered all over it.

From Stockholm city through all the islands to the open sea it's about 50miles. But we still have some nice waves within the archipelago. Alot of huge ferries and stuff like that.

Damn, I miss that boat, a better wheel and more boost will get you up around 90mph. Looks great :(

And that pic is lying!!! :D At 70mph on the speedo the handheld GPS showed 75mph. We passed 80 on the speedo at just above 5700rpm.

That should be an honest around 85mph. But we'll see as soon as the new GPS-plotter arrives from the states.

Thanks Lukie! :drink:

Yes, the prop is not going to push that boat for too long. The traction is not that very good and I think it's too small for the engine.

I will soon change to a stock Bravo or Hydromotive to get some real numbers to work with.

I don't think we'll change the boost. It should be around 4-5psi right now and the engine is much more reliable with that low boost.

It runs like a beast anyway!!! :evilb:
