Info on my pantera 28 1981
 

I bought this boat back in 2000, been doing a long haul resto on it. No power or interior when puchased. And a horrible paint job. I painted all white (imron) back in 2000. (TOMCEI if you read this, I hope you keep yours all white. Very impressive job you did!) I don't plan any graphics. I do plan a white and purple interior scheme. I am looking for a set of bolsters and rear bench if anyone knows of any, condition not important. Please let me know. I have my 454's nearly ready to drop in. Imco powerflo exhaust and trs outdrives. My project is a 7 year old now, (terrible work schedule) and being an airline mechanic nowadays is tuff. Anyway, back to why I posted, the vin (hin) is strange to me. I have a Texas title, and it is registered. The hin is a metal plate attached with screws. I want to know if this is typical of Pantera. All my other boats the hin was stamped or molded into the fiberglass. I had some info this boat was seized by ??FBI, ATF, DEA or some other law enf agency and went through the legal process of having a new hin issued by Texas. I want to know for sure what year it is. My vin is stamped into the hull gelcoat. Did your boat come with the low windscreen? If not then who makes it and where could I get one like yours? The Boat looks great, I may want to redo mine in all white someday. Thanks, Chris

My 95 has a plate fixed to the upper starboard of the transom just under the rub rail

Hey guys thanks for the replies, This is my original username. Had password trouble, but fixed now. I will be using PANTERAFREAK from now on.

Ironman, I don't know if the wind screen is original or not, maybe Jo from Pantera can say. I like it, I almost did away with it. I would have regretted it though. I believe it gives a clean sleek jet look.
