The Cobalt Blue gelcoat 36' is a "twin stepped"model that will run over 93 - 94 MPH on GPS with a pair of stock 525 EFI's with XR shorty Sportmaster drives.
The boat did have on the starboard side toward the bow after being out in the sun for a few days an area that had a post cure on the gelcoat which got some print thru due to the lighter lay up, darker gelcoat color, and the Balsa coring. Now do you think a custom painted boat with a $ 50,000 paint job is fair to compare it to a Dark colored gelcoat finish ? We offered Hideaway Marina to bring the boat over to the shop where we would repair the gelcoat and polish it back to a perfect finish under warranty with no charge to them. They decided to have the boat painted with custom graphics which in return to care of having us do this gelcoat repair since the entire boat got sanded and paint was applied. Now whether a customer prefers the boat with a solid Cobalt Blue gelcoat or custom painted I guess it is up to the customer buying it. The boat has a perfect custom rig job in the engine room and under the dash, a custom "carbon vinyl" upholstery , Livorsi Monster gauges , GPS, complete full length cabin, Marine Machine steering, Keith Eickert Sea strainers, 5 blade props, race tabs with Stainless Marine pop up indicators, Momo Trek wheel with a quick release helm, Pirelli rubber flooring , billett race throttles, and custom race battery boxes just to name a few of the items. Now for the price they are willing to accept which I believe is around $ 185,000 - $ 190,000 it is much lower than what we could duplicate this same boat for. Put a deposit and go for run in flat or better yet rough water and you will not be dissapointed. Ed Cozzi ( ex boat racer )the experienced Marine Surveyor and board member on this site went out for the Sea tria with me upon delivery. Ask him what he thinks of the performance, finish, and rigging of this boat. JO - Pantera Boats |

The boat was in the mold for at least a couple of weeks like we do with every boat with a complete hand laid race lamination which has a lifetime warranty.
The dark color gelcoats are more difficult to deal with than a White boat. That is the reason most manufactures go with White gelcoat boats and then paint them with clear over the design. If you go with a heavier lay up and add additional layers of mat on the skin coat it will prevent imperfections. That is why on lighter lamination race boats you will tend to see print thru. A dark colored gelcoat boat is approximately 50 degrees warmer than a white boat.White deflects , Dark colors absorb the heat. Now I am not sure about the wrinkles on the seats. I definetely did not see any when we delivered it. Do you have a picture to post ?? If they are there now we are offering to fix it at NO CHARGE !!!. I am not sure about the sharp edges on the dash and panels ?I posted a picture of the dash with my post. Regards, Jo - Pantera Boats |

Re: does anyone own a 36
Regardless of what anyones opinion is about the new graphics , color ect.. You can't overlook that it is ton of boat for the $$. & if I was looking for a real offshore boat in that price range it would definatly be on my short list. I personally like the cobalt blue color, but again that is my opinion. I am shure that there are some people out there that didn't personally care for the wild graphics on my 24 & thought it would have looked better a solid color but that doesn't bother me because I like wild graphics & I like solid colors too, but in all reality it really only takes 2 people to like it ( the owner & the buyer.) If there are any potential buyers lurking out there that like the boat but don't care for the graphics buy the boat anyway , take the $$ that you saved on the great price.
( As compaired to what you would pay for a boat of that size from the select few other manufactures that build a boat of that quality.) Tow it here to TN & I will make it look however you want ( or any other quality paint shop for that matter.) whether you are old skool solid , modernly wild , or even somewhere in between. |

Not sticking up for Pantera but even $600,000 boats have that problem. |
Re: does anyone own a 36
The street rod in my avitar pic. had around 10k worth of leather in it , done by some of the best in the country & it had to go back for a few small wrinkles in one of the door panels. That is a fairly normal occurance in high humidity. I don't care who does the work as you can see by that outerlimits.
