What is the prop shaft below the bottom of the boat? I think I may need a shortie.

Do you have a notch transom? if you do, then you won`t need a shortie. The higher the drive the less stable the boat at high speeds.

No notch. I'm at 4-1/2" below bottom of boat.

B-Stubb 04-04-2007 09:07 PM

Just for a baseline for you guy's , my 2007 stock xr with to transome notch is set at 5 " . Kirk , I think you will be close at 4 1/2 " might need a shorty if you run a 6 blade . Get her in the water and try it out . I ran 81 in the river last Saturday with a full tank and two guy's .

Elite Marine 04-05-2007 12:38 PM

Hope I get 81
