I saw something in the Uncensored section about some Swedes drinking Seamen Shots! :drink:

Sorry... I act like a child!

Thanks Lukas!

Regarding the Cape it depends on wether they will allow a real boat to participate in the Stockholm PR or not. Either way we will go boating during that weekend!!! :evilb: Bring some seamen shots! :drink:

They do allow a real boat in Stockholm Poker Run:rolleyes: Just kidding I hope they will let you in the PR and an orange boat as well:cool:

Tomas I see that you have flat top pistons on your motor, I dont know the CC on your heads or your head gasket thickness. I hope you have a knock meter in your boat to let you know of any detination. I have a dish piston on my blower motor with a .76 thick Cometic gasket and the piston sit 20 in the hole, that gives me plenty of room for boost on pump gas.

Hi Albert,

Measured the cc on the heads and ended up at close to 120cc, the pistons are .025 below deck, pistons are dished 3cc and .051 (they might be .053) thick gaskets. That should get me pretty much 8.3...

Where did you get that .076 cometic gasket?! They should put me at just below 8 in static comp.

Just got a dual EGT-gauge from Mange, we will mount the senders right at the beginning of the SS tails (right after the elbows).

We will have a meeting with those guys tomorrow, then we'll see if they have got things straightened out...

Oh no, seaman-shot, do you remember what happened with Mange last time we shared a bottle of that? :drink: Ha ha ha!

No, not really actually... had a taste of the shot last weekend and got all kinds of flashbacks.

But I do remember what happened when we shared those bottles of Bacardi Razz for breakfast in the Pantera... :( :drink:

Now your talking Tomas, that is good! I got the gasket custom made from Cometic for $200.00 the set.

What do you think about the 8.3CR and iron heads then?

What kind of boost will this combo endure with reliability with 91octane?

Back to work!

Started with getting some medium hard foam with closed cells (doesn't attract water etc). Cut to 12" pieces in the correct thickness (about 1-1/4") and glued them to the bottom. This is for the fuel tank to rest on.

Got the fuel tank in place.

Press fitted the same foam in front and back of the tank - and of course on the sides between the tank and stringers. This will never move! :evilb:

Bolted the tank to the engine bulk head and the one in front of the cockpit with M10 screws and really big washers.

Also put a sheet of foam on top of the tank to stabilize the floor a bit.
