I spent all weekend grinding glassfiber, probably a total of 15 hours, only a couple hours away now! Then it needs to be rebuilt, but that's the fun part.

Got alot of pretty enginestuff delivered on monday, the reassambly of the motor should begin in a few days. :evilb:

Yikes 15 of grinding fiberglass is never fun ! I spent a few hours myself grinding some in the past 2 days & I feel for you.
It makes it worse down in a boat grinding because it doesn't really have much place to go but all over you. Thankfully I have been grinding some car parts. ( although I would rater it be my boat.) Now get that motor togather , Hey I need to do that one myself.

The hull is beeing glassed as we speek and should be done pretty soon, a boatbuilder got to do the job so it will be properly done.

Some of the previous owners has apparently rocked this Pantera...

On the second pic it's grinded and ready to be reglassed.

The crank and oil pump is now actually mounted with new bearings and polished bearings surfaces. The bearing clearance is around .003.

Testmounted the new (to me) KE oil pan, and it fit just fine. Altough I will have the get some extra clearance to the notched transom by grinding down the rear end of the pan.

Yesterday I got the new head studs in place, I will get the heads back from the shop on mon or tues, they needed that valve seat job after all.

Tomas, Can I ask a favor of you? I need a measurement from the centerline of the rubrail ( screws) down to the top edge of the Pantera lettering on the decal. And a measurement from the edge of the Pantera back to the transom edge. The boat is looking good, where is your fuel tank located? I thought it would be in the pictured area between the stringers. Thanks

I will agree that the previous owners that have had this boat showed it no mercy whatsoever but I would like to add that you Crazy sweed's sure havn't helped matters ! :D Glad to see it is coming togather for you. My big motor is marinating at the moment. I have it ready to go back togather but I have patiently put it on hold this last month due to the fact that I have been deciding on how I want to power the boat ect..
We are about to leave here in the next hour or so & take the Pantera out for the weeend !! Talk to you later ,Scott
