Stormrider....what did you have in your 24?

JC performance 560hp/550tq.
Ziemer now owns it and is running 78.
A 500efi already in a 24 will be tough to find.
Your best bet is to post what you find and get opinions.
You may overthink this, cuz these motors may not be found in a 24.

hobie1 where in lake erie do you boat?? I have done a couple of leopa runs and been to the hot hole, shell island, and put in bay! well used to live in monroe. I have to say my 24 pantera runs great in that water, well most of the time unless it gets very rough! My boat is very nice and runs in the 70s all day! Take a look in the classifieds! I would be happy to deliver the boat up to michigan to you, and see some old friends!

Mike , I have to say that your 24 is ( in my opinion ) probably the nicest looking 24 to have ever rolled out of the factory ! That is one sweet looking 24. I remember seeing the boat when it was still in the mold , They had already gelcoated it & they were laying the first skim coat of glass on it. That will make someone a great boat & a good deal for someone looking for a new boat.
I am still a little partial to this old classic too !

That was a beautiful restoration.
New owner should feel very lucky.

Thanks , I put alot of heart & soul into it in the 2 years I worked on it on & off . As far as the new owners goes , the last time I talked to them they were loving it. However I don't really know that anyone can truelly appritiate the time & dedication it takes to do a project like that untill they have been through it Especially if you do all of the work yourself.
I don't know whether or not you done all the work on your magnum or not but either way you have a good idea of what it takes. That comment you made of it being a beutiful restoration means alot coming from another owner of a really nice classic !

I purchased my 1989 last fall. The guy built the 502, and it has about 450-475hp. Runs at 65-70 all day. Was still getting use to the controls, etc. but should get to 75 this summer. I believe he said he hit 78 on GPS. I never paid attention to fuel, since it was fall, but I would imagine you could run 50 mph all weekend long.
