Yesterday was an awesome day. On the way over to Catalina we had a nice consistent roller (Forcast was 4 - 6, but I'm no "old salt") and John and I ran side by side all the way over. Man, this is what these boats were born to do!
We stopped in the lee side of the island and took some photos. It was mostly slop with a small roll when we took these.
I always wear the vest when we're running hard!
Griff, just like the test run huh?!

The only time my boat got outta the water that far here was when it was on the trailer. LOTO is another story
Remember when I said our river could turn to chit fast with heavy rain. Well, heavy rains we have had, 8-10" inches over the past 5 days. River is up 8-10 feet. My marina parking lot is under water.
These pics should look familiar to you.
pic 1 is at the bar we went by that had the stage. The area to right is that dug out area where I said it was always too shallow
pic 2 is looking north from the bar toward the old RR bridge
pic 3 is docks at Rick's Boatyard --remember the narrow inlet with the high walls on the sides???? Not anymore.
