Thanks. I intend to use the boat often and that means it might not always be in Miami. I love the Bahamas and I'm hoping this boat will take me anywhere I want to go. Was even thinking Mexico If I could ever work up the courge to make a trip like that. I'm new to this site and I see how much people love their pantera's so hopefully I will not let anyone down building the1st41. I noticed in another thread that people were making suggestions on engines/drive packages and you did a great job on the paint job so I'm wondering if I could get more help from everyone out there on the cockpit layouts. Jo and Pepe have given me a few new options including center steering and a side by side bolster for me and my girlfriends. I have seen their 6 man bolster which I really like but I want access to the cabin so I think the best solution is the "dual console". Any thoughts? Angel |

1st41 - I'd go with the dual console. The center steering is a great idea too. It would be tits with a removable third bolster. That boat is going to be awesome - you need to start a new thread for more help with your customizing. |

Thanks guys.
The black boat used to be Jo's F1 race boat. It's the same boat as post #50 on this thread This pic was also at the Ohio River Poker Run last weekend 1st41 I don't care for the side by side seating very much. Looks bad when you and a buddy are out on the boat. My 00002. cents |
Wildthing, is the black P3-28 the one that's for sale with the tunnel ram motor?

1979 pantera 24 with plywood deck and rear seats twin 225 mercurys old school

northernoffshore any pics of the cockpit? What does she run with the twin 200?
|
Those pics are from 1983 I bought the boat with the funky deck and 100hp johnsons for like 4000.00 Its was my first offshore boat. I rerigged it with twin front mount steering and a too small helm pump and the two mercs 225hp. I ran some 23 pitch cleavers Good speedometers were unheard of back then so my best guess is 62mph. the motors were too long 25" but in '83 it was a pretty cool boat . I have always liked panteras since.
