Swim platform
 

Anybody built or installed a swim platform on a 24 Pantera? Got pictures? Thanks, Troy

Jo sent me a few pics last year and I didn't care for how they looked on the 24. The narrow beam and rounded transom made it look "crowded" IMO.

I see your point. I've also seen somewhere not sure if its on OSO or not, but a 24 boat with small swim platform/steps on either side of the drive/exhaust. I'm not sure who posted this pic the other day but I think this one looks pretty good. I don't know if its a 24 or not or who's boat it is. It could be the same platform.

If I was to do something I would do the swim "steps". But they are not cheap!

Those are perfect, I can get aluminum sheets lazer cut and powder coated cheap. I'll have to figure out the mounting but that should be fairly simple. I'll try and create a couple of CAD models tomorrow or Thursday and see what you'all think.

If you make some of those, how much for a second set? I've thought about some for my 24' Super.

If it works well, I'll make you a set for what it costs me. This is bullsh#t, I can't believe they are charging 500 bucks for these steps. ...took me 5 minutes to model them in CAD.
I'm checking on water jet or laser cutting aluminum now.

...speaking of expensive, I was checking on some new CMI headers HOLYshat!!... I'm working on some headers for a new sand car I'm building... its not that f-ing difficult...

I'll keep you posted what I find out regarding the swim steps...
