My ride in the Mig 28, Thanks Albert!
I'm in Miami Beach right now. Albert (MiamiBoys) was kind enough to offer me a ride in the mighty Mig 28. First I want to say thank you to Albert. He's a great dude and I really appreciate the opportunity to get a ride. You've got a seat in my 28 anytime, bud!
Next, I want to say that the Mig 28 is without question, the baddest boat I've ever ridden in. Albert should be very proud of himeself and what he's accomplished with that boat.
I don't know if I'm supposed to divulge this information, but we ran out of Government Cut this morning and I saw over 90mph (93 I believe) on the gps speedo and the boat felt as solid and stable as mine does at 65. And, he had at least a quarter stick left in her!
It was awesome. We headed out of the cut and ran up the beach at a sold 70 - 80 mph. Pure Pantera, fast and steady. And Albert his a hell of a driver. The ride was smooth as a stripper's ass!
As we came back in, I recalled all the photos and stories of offshore history and offshore racing legends that started and finished with a blast through Government Cut. I feel very fortunate to get the opportunity to do that in a boat like the Mig 28. Thanks again Albert, you are the man and your boat is one bad Mother!
(I have photos, but I realized that I don't have my disk drive with me, so as soon as I weasel a drive, I'll post photos).
Next stop, a visit to Pantera Racing...
