I like the discription "One of a Few Made"

Smitty 09-17-2007 02:17 PM

I think he meant "few made with twins"

Pismo10 09-17-2007 02:27 PM

Most have twins, the singles are more rare.

TexomaPowerboater 09-17-2007 03:12 PM

MAYBE NOT AS NICE AS YOU THINK. I test drove her and had a mechanical inspection done in May. I know he has made SOME of the repairs needed since then.

Tex I thought of you as soon as I saw that ad this morning and it made me laugh! And the "One of a few ever made..." comment. That made me spit out my coffee! I hope that he just cut and pasted from his eBay ad. I'm guessing people looking in the Pantera section on OSO, probably have some idea what they're looking for... Pepe's been building these things since the '70!

Maybe he means the trampoline floor is what makes it so rare?! :D

I do really enjoy this new trend on OSO of mocking silly (I'm trying to be nice) ads in a public forum. I've seen a few in the last week that I've really gotten a kick out of.

I've seen more singles than I have twins. Am I finding collectibles and didn't know it?

What exactly did the boat need?

This thread has the answers you seek........

It could need more than what I've found.

Since then I believe he has replaced the leaking manifolds on the port side and has added new heads per the salesman. The cabin has also been completely reaphulstered since then. The interior is also in pretty bad shape.........but you may be able to clean it up a little. Its in TX, but it has had heavy saltwater use.

Isn't it a little redundant that this got moved to the Pantera section?

I was thinking the same thing? There's always topics that are totally unrelated to boating all the time in the GD section but this gets moved?!

Yea!!! I own something Rare..... Finally, I'm special.

From what I've seen, the older 28's had more with twins. As the years progressed it seems more are increasingly built as singles. The hulls have become lighter and stock reliable power is now made to move a full pleasure boat over 70 with a single.

BTW, I've seen 3 other singles in person and never seen a twin except for an 80's OB boat on our river.
