Will Flip-Ups Work on a 24?

I have to keep the wind off my ears due to an ear condition. I know you sit pretty high in a 24 relative to the deck, so I was wondering if anyone can tell me if flip-ups will work on a 24 (high enough to block wind to the face).

Michael, They are very effective in my 24 but, I have sit down seats. I don't think they would work if you sat much higher. Hope this helps, Greg

They don't even work on a 28 unless you are sitting in the bolster.

I figured sit-down seats (or just sitting down) would be a requirement. I've been in Dude! Sweet!'s 28, and they worked pretty well sitting down, or even with legs bent standing in the seat. I wasn't sure about the 24 though. Good to hear they work!

Greg, how tall are your flip-ups?

Michael, 7 3/4" high 18" wide. The last inch is flaired. They do a great job cutting the wind blast and I really like them.

Do you have any pics?? And what is your windscreen made from?

I'll help Greg out with old pictures of his new boat, regards of "wind deflectors" They work the best if mounted on the front, and not on the top. You need to deflect the air a ways forward before it reaches your face. jeff

Thanks Jeff!
I figured I have to give you a call to find out who made them.
It really surprised me how well they worked. The wind can wear you down after a long run.

Michael, here's my suggestion as far as a Pantera that would afford you some comfort and ear protection! :D
