Swim Platform Bolts

I needed some advice from the group, what length bolts do I need for my swim platform install? I'm not near the boat and not sure what the transom thickness is??

I using 7/16" bolts with stringer washers on the inside ..... would 5" be long enough with a nyloc nut and aluminum stringer washer added?

Pepe already replied that 3.5" should be long enough, I'm glad I didn't buy the 5 inchers! Thanks Pepe!
