This is a picture of the 1992 South East APBA B-class champion and 2nd in National points that year with APBA.
This boat was a 28 powered with a single 800 HP Hawk Marine engine with EFI .It had a number 4 speedmaster drive with the motor mounted on rails that would allow the motor to be moved forward or back depending on water conditions with drive shafts. This boat smoked the field in B-Class that year and beat all the twin engine boats with one motor. JO |

The Tunnelvision 28' was the Southeast B-class champion in 1992 and finished # 2 nationally that year.It was powered by a single Hawk Marine Power 800 HP with a # 4 Speedmaster drive.Tunnelvision was the only single engine B-Class race boat at the time and won a bunch of races that year over all the twin engine boats in the class. We built it while located in Thunder Boat Row.Tunnelvision would run in the mid to upper 80s for speed. The boat was perfectly balanced. The motor was mounted on rails so it could be moved forward in rough water races.
The Plum Loco 24' was powered by a single 600 HP small block with headers. It would run back in 1992 in the 85-87 MPH range.Plum Loco also won quite a few races in A-Class that year. Wildthing : That is your boat on the video. Regards, JO |
I guess the T-vision boat had the trans in the box??
what would you do.... add a longer shaft when the mtr went foward. All the #3-#6's use tranys, right?? |
