Not too far from me (well 3 hours). Nice looking boat. Anyone know it?

rchevelle71 02-05-2008 07:32 PM

Never seen it, but looks nice, and prolly runs good with 500's

Dude! Sweet! 02-05-2008 07:34 PM

Looks like it says "JR's Green Knight" on the sun pad.

I was supposed to drive a Supermodified up at Madera years ago... Wild place. You get a true feel of bein in the West up there and everyone looks like Gary Scelzi! :D

IRONMAN 02-05-2008 08:08 PM

Looks like AJ's Cherry Bomb from Destin FL but without the vinyl graphics.

Dude! Sweet! 02-05-2008 08:12 PM

Yah, Cherrybomb was up for sale over the summer without the graphics. That's the one I was thinking of too. Maybe a new insert on the sunpad with the new name?

TexomaPowerboater 02-05-2008 08:46 PM

Cherry Bomb, there was a thread on it about 6-9 months ago. It was for sale last spring, I think it was listed at 59K back then.

Dude! Sweet! 02-05-2008 09:01 PM

So, how'd it get to california and why is it already for sale again?

p729lws 02-05-2008 11:24 PM

Yep, that's Cherry Bomb. It was sold by Legendary Marine in Destin, FL last year and I was told it was heading to CA. I had looked at it and was working on getting a survey done on it when it sold. It looks like it has had some upgrades done to it since I last saw it. The "Green Knight" is a local pub here in Fort Walton Beach and they were the last owners before it went to CA.

Dude! Sweet! 02-06-2008 10:08 AM

Thanks Dan. Wonder what the story is on why it's back up so quick?

SHAWNA 02-06-2008 11:14 AM

Wow! That boat came out of the same mold as a cigarette! must be the only one...

Dude! Sweet! 02-06-2008 11:20 AM

Yah, that ad is hilarious! Those jetboat jockies have probably never seen an offshore boat before! :D

There must be a story to the sale. He flew here to check it out and obviously put some coin into after he bought it. I guess he found some money and is going biger :evilb: or lost some money and is getting out :hitfan:

Dan

Dude! Sweet! 02-06-2008 05:30 PM

Yah, no joke! Gotta be at least $3500 just to get it out here!

Python82 02-07-2008 12:07 PM

Hey, what did they use to trim around the edges of the floor?

Dude! Sweet! 02-07-2008 12:19 PM

Hey Python! Haven't heard from you much since you bought your 28. How'd the summer treat you on the new boat?

bigboat28 02-07-2008 12:39 PM

Yea Python how is that boat?

Python82 02-07-2008 01:57 PM

Couldn't be happier with it. Gettin ready to pull the motors and go through them.

I still can't get over how much bigger it is than my 24!!

Me either. I would venture to say twice as big. Looking forward to seeing it this summer.

Dan

story i got was owner traded it to Semper for a 3-400k boat that they had. Semper did upgrades to it for a customer, that then decided to go different route. Boat does look very clean by the pictures. I forgot what they said it had for hrs. Jaime

p729lws 08-25-2008 10:05 PM

It had 345 hours on it in June last year.

bigboat28 08-26-2008 07:38 AM

I tried to trade them my Formula last week but they said that they would not take a trade.

TravisB 08-26-2008 10:22 AM

Ken Blumes old 28 pantera is for sale on powerboat listings I know for a fact it can be bought cheap and the boat is very very well taken care of. and runs a solid mid eighties with fuel in mid summer with no chop

bigboat28 08-26-2008 12:07 PM

How much?

Dude! Sweet! 08-26-2008 01:15 PM

BB28, tried to PM you a couple weeks ago, but couldn't. Not really looking for a cruiser either, but if you know anyone looking for a single powered Pantera, I'd be willing to let mine go (with our without power).

From the last set of photos I saw it looked like the CA owner put some $$$ into it since I saw it last June.

Yah that looks like a great price. Some nice hardware on that thing, it shows the guys obviosuly cared about the boat.

If it wasnt for the paint job I would be calling my buddies up here in Canada to buy it right now......

The paint job is my sticking point as well. Very nice, just not my style.

ar15meister 09-04-2008 12:34 PM

If you are an American you have no excuse not to buy it....imho

Wylie-Rat 09-04-2008 01:37 PM

It's a great boat and priced at a steal... I got to know the owner while I was looking for a 28 Pantera - Almost bought that very boat...

I agree, the paint is way too loud for me but still a great deal.

I wish I had the cash for Cherry Bomb!

bigboat28 09-08-2008 09:54 AM

I wish they would trade me for Cherry Bomb
