I have mine set just inside the chines, or strakes, wutever ya call them things halfway up the v, I'll get ya a pic, but I have mine set pretty far in, I like the boat sitting higher on the trailer since I dont have the center support bunks.

Bill,
IMHO, I'd want a little weight on the guide bunks. Then you don't have to worry about them slapping the hull when the trailer flexes going over bumps.

You can buy Stainless Staples at Lowes/Home Depot.

You can also get your Indoor/Outdoor Carpet there too. Just buy the expensive stuff, and use a coat of glue in addition to the staples to keep the carpet from bunching and tearing upon launching/retrieval. You can buy a small tub, and it goes on with a wide putty knife.

Thanks Brian. Yeah, I"m gunna buy the carpet at Homey and the glue is a good recommendation. I'll put the new guide bunks on with a little play. When I put the Pantera back on, I'll tighten them up. Maybe take a jack (with wood block) and jack up the boat maybe an inch before I cinch the bunks.

I miss that Myco trailer I had for that Sonic. It was built well. I don't think this trailer was made for the Pantera, but at least I can adjust it.

By the way Brian, you married yet?

I think that's where mine should be too. Mine sit just outside the chines you speak of and I believe that why the keel has been scraping those pads. That's how I have my boat lift set (inside) so the keel doesn't scrap. Big clue huh!

Thanks for the pics. I definitely need to move mine in some. Right now mine hit under where your trim tabs are, just outside the chine. You've convinced me.

From chine to chine is 43". I'll probably do 39"
