Joey and the "Grave Digger" monster truck

Took my son today to watch some monster truck racing over in Naples which is 2 hours West of Miami. The Grave Digger driver carried my son over the fence and took a picture with him. Dennis Anderson was not driving the Grave Digger at this event but the team ended up winning anyways. My son really enjoys monster trucks especially Grave Digger !!! I was more excited for him than me.:cool-smiley-011: I told my son that he was going for a run in the the Grave Digger when the driver picked him up. He was a bit worried as you can see in the picture.

I thought you would like to see a few pics.

Regards,

JO

My Wife and I also took my 81 year old grandparents along since they spend everyday taking good care of my little guy. They had never seen a monster truck up close. This park normally has swamp buggy racing in the winter months.

How many times did Joey say "grrrrrrraaaaaavvvvvvve"

littledcsrodshop 04-28-2008 09:14 AM

Joey looks pretty comfortable sitting in that drivers seat... Its kinda funny my oldest daughter is very timid & scared of most everything that makes noise , However she went to an indoor monster truck show with our church a couple years ago & when she came home all her mother & I heard about was "Grave Digger"

Awesome pics....

You know they used to make a little battery powered Grave Digger for kids..

We had a Monster Chevy truck at our house..

He has a "TRAXX" dual elect. motors w/ the Grave Digger body on it. He thinks that is the coolest thing in the world!
Of course he doesn't know that it is Grandpa that "plays" w/ it.
Later,
Pepe.

That's the "Sheesh! Can we get this lunch thing over with and get back to the cool stuff! I'm so tired of sitting here!' look.

Took my sone to the same thing last month. They let the kids go down ny teh trucks and meet the drivers in the beggining. He was so scared they were going to start up and run us over.

We had a great time. Hopfully he leans toward Formula One or Indy cars instead. Monster trucks are neat, but the money is elsewhere!

enjoy them while thye are young..........life moves wayyyy tooo fast.

joepaws 04-30-2008 09:46 AM

btw the kids are all cute as hell but ur all making the same mistakes my dad made when i was a kid lol my father was into drag racing, motorcycle drag racing, anything high power and i was around it my whole life. then when i got my licence at 17 years old and got my first speeding ticket 2 weeks later, and countless other tickets in the years to come my fater was pissed. :hitfan: how did he expect me to drive slow after all those years of growing up around speed and horsepower? :party-smiley-004:

Dude! Sweet! 04-30-2008 10:44 AM

Same here Joe! My dad was all right about the tickets though. He got me out of a alot of them becuase I was from a a small town... :D

Although the other thing I'm worried about is that I'm setting him up for some unreasonable expectations as far as how he enjoys motorsports. I'm 6'2" and 260# and I don't fit on or in a lot of the stuff that I grew up enjoying (sport bikes, formula cars, karts etc.) and my boy is likely to be siginficantly bigger than me based on his growth charts and the size of my father in law... So, ultimately even if he got into motorsports, there's a limited type of vehicle he'll get to race and to be honest, he'll probably be at a disadvantage from a minimum weight requirement.

Which is why I hope I can get him to play baseball or wrestle! :D

My daughter says she wants to be a princess when she grows up, so I don't think I've got much to worry about there! :D
