Jo or Pepe: Help with twin outboard prop depth

1 Attachment(s)
Or anyone else who might know: There are witness marks showing that the motors have been mounted higher and lower than they are now. Is there an optimum prop depth and what is it based on? I can take better pictures or get measurements tomorrow, but I'm not sure how to take the measurement (measure from what to what?).

Obviously the higher you go (w/o loosing water press) the less drag = faster up to a point. Then the drag factor of the hull and slip of the prop comes into play.

I would go up a notch @ a time and keep all the data w/ what props etc. yill you find IF it is better or worst for what you will be using the boat for.

Will it be max top end, or maybe mid range etc.

You may call us here @ the factory if you want to talk about it.
Later,
