Where can I get a replacement gas cap for my pantera?
My retard friend's only responsibilities thursday were hanging the pump up, screwing in the gas cap, stowing the gas cap key, and paying for the gas with my money.
Apparently, this was too much to handle as he left the cap on the bow before we trailered 40 miles to the marina. Needless to say, the cap is history. Yeah, I know I should have given him less credit and micromanaged the whole process, but I didn't think of it at the time. :angry-smiley-038: Where can I get another cap, and how much is this joker gonna have to shell out? |
Anybody?
Went to West Marine and didn't find anything that was even close to the right size... |
Well, what did it look like?
Try eddie marine. http://www.eddiemarine.com/store/car...uct_list&c=277 http://www.eddiemarine.com/store/car...duct_list&c=23 http://www.eddiemarine.com/store/car...uct_list&c=224 |
Looked like this, except only 2 prong.
http://www.eddiemarine.com/xl/265-25.jpg But I wanna say the diameter of the cap itself is larger. I'm going to run home from work and measure and I'll post up what I learn. |
Diameter of the entire fuel fill neck is 4".
The diameter of the cap itself is 3". Having trouble finding this still.... Who sells a 3" gas cap? |
Another place to check is here ->

That's a pretty standard fill and should be availble at just about any marine store. Only downfall they'll make you buy the entire fitting. All in all a pretty easy fix.
