hatch pics
Lets see some pics of hatches with scoops and or rasied set ups.
I'm looking for some ideas for my 28. I remember seeing a 28 w/ a raised race hatch but can't find it. |

Alberts old with and without scoop.
Did you really need it that high?! I know you lowered it later on but what made you need it that high? |

thanks, That's exactly what I was looking for.
Any side shots? Tomas, are you raising the scoop for an intercooler? Did you run one before? |
Sorry, but am I the only one that takes my socks off before being out on the boat and in the sun??:D

Kinda a bad pic, but my hatch is raised. Couple friends in that pic. |
Here is my 28 with raised hatch. I had pics up before but they dropped off for some reason. Is this possibly what you were looking for? Anyway, took these this morning. Jo stated a while back this was a hacth they offered in late 80s early 90s. My boat is an 81.

Hey Texoma,
I am still working on it. I hoping to be able to drop the motors back in within the month. I did get my seats and interior from a guy up north out of a Fountain. (No Fountain Logos!). I am looking forward to finally getting done with the boat! This turned into a monumental project, complete re-rig, paint, and interior. And working for American Airlines and being moved all over the country really slows down the process. I am back now and hitting it hard. Tomcei, If Jo does not have the mold, I would be willing to loan you my hatch to make a new mold, if it would help you. Mine is not even bolted to boat right now. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to pop a mold of it. |
Thanks PF. I'm not sure I want the responsibility of someone elses hatch. That's a huge offer to lay out, thanks.
I may trade that offer for some pics at multiple angles though:drink: |
I got you, but if you need it the offer stands. Maybe Jo still has the mold. I could always take the pics and send measurements. That's no hassle at all. Just let me know if you need them. .....Daryl

Panterafreak what motors and drives do you have? How much heavier is you boat than the newer ones?
|
I have trs outdrives, and running mk IV 454s, I am not even sure what my boat weighs. I would need to look at the title, not sure it is on there either. I am pretty sure Jo could tell you weights. Maybe he will add something if he sees this. If I find out more I will message it to you, so we don't steal the thread.

PF - sweet boat!!
I know what you mean about working on a boat turning into a monumental event. I expected to be on the water a month ago - now I'm looking at next year (hopefully). Working 60-70 hr weeks is killing me. Keep plugging away while you can and get her completed. |
how about a few pics from behind the transom facing forward. trying to see how far back the raised part is. does it taper down in the back?
How far does it reach to the sides of the hatch? |

How far does it reach to the sides of the hatch? Tomcei, if this is a question for me, I will take a bunch of pics and measurments for you in the morning. It would probably be aesier if I could email them to you. So if you want, pm me you email and I will send them. Disregard if it was directed to someone else. |
It would appear that all the 28 raised hatch pics I have seen are basiclly the same.
Is there only one style rasied hatch for the 28 Pantera? Yes, I could call Jo but that takes the fun out of it:p |
