New White rubrail, Do I keep the Black windshield??
I just installed the white rubrail, do I keep the black windshield or go to white with it as well? Give me an opinion.

I like the fiberglass windscreen look myself.
|
Your boat looks nice.
|
Thanks, it is comin along. Did you ever figure anything out on that Pant 28 up north? The one with Blue trim.
|
No not yet still thinking about it.
|
Temporarily mask out the Black plexi with some white tape and paper, then take a few pics and post so we can compare them. It looks pretty nice the way it is now.
|
go white
|
Now why didn't I think of that. I will do it this weekend. Thanks for compliment. Anyone know who make the fiberglass windscreens?
|
you might find a white window film. I'm sure some white vinal (sp) can be stuck to the out side of the glass and then trim it up.
custom auto shop maybe. |
DON'T TOUCH IT!!!!!!
It looks badazz as it is. It also ties into the color of your docking lamps. Just a touch of color/accent. (Geez, that sounded like Christopher Lowell on boats..., and NO, I don't have a high pitched voice or a lisp...) If you go completely white, it starts to get the refrigerator look. Humor yourself (and us) and tape some paper over the glass. I think it looks great, and wouldn't fool with it any further. :ernaehrung004: |
who cares??? That would look bad ass either way! :evilb::evilb::evilb:

I think you should leave it. Remember its a windshied, not a fairing. My old python had a windshield very similar. I think you will be suprised at how much you'll look through it.

Leave it!
 |
I am thinking it is going to stay black. Gives the boat kinda a jet cockpit look. Especially seeing the photoshop pic. It also keeps the boat looking it's age. I am proud of my OLD boat. I would say it is as solid as one right off the line. Jo and Pepe build em right, that is for sure.

And I thought I had a FAST FRIDGE too!:boat: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...g/DSC00072.jpg I had no intention to hi-jack this into a refrigerator thread. Hi-jacks just seem to follow me wherever I go.

There is something much cooler about a piece of history than there is about a boat that just came out of the mold. |
Since I started the thread, and added to the deviation, I guess we all can live with hi-jacking. It is funny how someone will post comment or pics and other members have nearly identical interests, hobbies and collections! Talking about being cut from the mold!
|
I agree with leaving it. Strictly for looks cause anyone with a 24 knows you will never look through it! LOL
|
well, I can't see through anyway. it is solid black plexiglass. I am 6'2" and can easily see right overit. I was really in limbo if it would look better all white or like it is. I think most popualr opinion is to leave it. Thanks to all who sent there 2 cents.
