Pics & Video from last Summer

A buddy of mine with a 1974 Formula 233 took some video of my 28 last summer, and I was able to get some footage within a bigger video production that he did. As a result I ended up editing the heck out of it so to preserve the engine sound, I had to leave the Kid Rock music jumping all around. It's kind of a bummer but I thought it was worth the engine sound in the background. If you want to see it in high quality on YouTube just go to this link instead ... looks much better ...

Still trying to get the raw footage to do a better job but this is all I have. Thought it was worth posting up ... sick of this 1 or 10 degree mornings here in Michigan ... need some boating pics and vids to get a fix :angry-smiley-044:

Also here are some pics from the video ... . The sad thing is this is the only running pics or vids I have of the boat from it's first year. Oh one more funny factoid here - my 82 year old parents are sitting in the back seat comfortably during most of the footage, cool parents and comfortable boat!

Mike, boat sounds/looks great. I don't know why these guys add music. If it were up to me... i'd rig a bluetooth mic on the transom!

Quick qustion... if you moved the rear bench seat forward 12" would there still be room back there? It'd be nice for the rear passenger to be able to comfortably reach out for a grab bar while still seated back.

Thanks Storm,

In my opinion with the race bolster that would get pretty tight for moving around, take a look at this pic if it helps. Maybe a better option would be bolstered rear seats like Mange .... kind of hold you in once you snug in but still leave room to stand or move around.

mikeb4,
Sweet, sweet video. That will definitely help me make it through the upstate NY winter as I wait for my 28 to get it's new motor and drive. What are you running and what are you seeing for speeds?
Thanks
Norm

Welcome aboard Norm! I appreciate the comments ... the boats 532 HP and runs 70 with a strong midrange cruise speed. My boat is a little different than most because it's built and setup like the 2002 Championship F1 boat .. it's several hundred pounds lighter with no cockpit liner and no cabin (until I put a sparse one in last year) and a 75-80 gallon fuel tank.

Here's another video of the boat to get you going before spring ... :boat:

Did you set the x dimension at 17"? What drive did you use?

I have just a standard length Bravo X drive ... as for the X dimension check with Jo or Pepe at the Pantera factory ..... they can be very helpful, especially with setup and recommendations! :ernaehrung004:

I did give them a call and Jo recommended the 17" x dimension which is the direction I think we'll wind up with. It's just interesting to see what others have done who have installed their own drive set up.
You've got a nice rooster tail there.
