Anchor storage in bilge on a 24

Anyone store their anchors in the bilge of their 24? I'm tired of crawling into the cuddy to get my anchors out when it's full.

Anyone store their anchors in the bilge? How do you secure them?

I had the small slide anchor and a full bag of rope under the rear bench seat.

I've got a decent sized anchor with chain and 100' of rope that stays in the bilge. I found some heavy duty rubber matting that I cut to fit between the stringers and I lay the anchor on top of that. I also use a work towel towedge it in between the engine mount stringer and the hull side. Being a larger anchor with chain and rope it doesn't go anywhere.

Do you guys like the box anchor?

I just wrap up the chain and rope semi-neatly around the anchor and put in on an angle outside the stringer. It just sits there and doesn't seem to move around no matter what kind of water I'm jumping. Doesn't wear or scratch anything up.

Do a search on "box anchor". LOTS of discussion.
I have been a fan for 10+ years.

I'd go to Jamestown distributors and get a " windline rail mount anchor bracket "
Mount it in the bilge vertical on the back side of the bulkhead.
You can hang a Danforth off it without worrying about it smashing around.

I've had a Box Anchor forever and by far superior all the way around to a Danforth style in its ability to hold in all bottom conditions and does not require any anchor chain. Folds up neatly in the heavy duty bag and fits perfect under the rear seat with no movement underway.
