I don't think Lovemachine or Beck427 ever got much more than that out of his 24 SE with 200 Mercs on. DonzJr told me he got more out of it running cleavers, but I never tested it.

These boats are very sensitive to setup so I'd guess that raising the motors, moving weight around and changing props would get you more, but like I said, I only used it 4 times over the past year. I hardly had time to put it in the water let alone do any prop or motor height testing.

All in all it's a fun little cruiser. I just can't justify keeping it when I also have my 28 race boat, shifter karts, a drag car and two kids playing sports. Something's gotta give.

When i owned it the best i got out of it was 67 mph with the chopper props and high x......Like i said before it's worth looking at

Low 60's is correct, takes a lot to get these outboard models over 60, ya gotta run them high and loose as said above. I run 60 wih a single Merc 250EFi, but my boat is lighter than the others. I know of one with twin merc 150's that cant break 55.
