Von Bongo, its really cool watching your boat being built, keep the pics coming, especially once they start painting. I know its been said before, but that is the nicest Stars and Stripes I've ever seen, take care:)

Jo sent me some nicce pictures of a 24 Pantera that was painted very much like mine will be. He also gave me the following update, I edited the top secret parts :D

dropped the cockpit floor underneath the front bolsters about 5 inches to
give you extra depth in the cockpit.We put in the naca ducts on the sides
glassed in and they look awesome and will be functional.We cut out the dash
on Friday and began doing the rigging on the boat.The cabin has the ceiling
and sides upholstered and we are putting the carpet ( RED) on the v-berth
and will finish doing the sink,and ice chest this week so we can finish
putting the carpet on the wrap around area.
I have the tabs coming in on Wednesday and the motor package will be hear in
the next 2 weeks

I believe Jo said it was moved back a little.

Looking forward to that lower floor, that will make a big differece in the feel with the free board. Not that is was bad, just adds a little more.

I'm 5 10 and so 5 inches will be a bunch.

Von, sounds like its coming along well. Don't know if it'll make my completion date guess, but it should be in the ball park. Can't wait to see the lowered floor. I'm sure it gives totally different perspective. I was out on the river for a couple hours tonite and am getting a lot more comfortable with mine.

Had a little bit of fun, as long as you don't count having to fight the current to get the boat back on the trailer. Actually it was pretty nice with hardly any wind, but got damn cold for last 30 mins when the sun went down. The river is REAL LOW.

Making some progress, the painting is to start Monday according to the surveyor. As you can see the transom is cut for the drive and the duct's are cut out, rear grab rail is in, dash is cut, some of the wiring strung and some of the vinyl is in the cabin. K-plans were supposed to arrive yesterday. Motor in 2 weeks, about the time the paint is to be done.

The hole in the floor is where the foot wells will be lowered in front of the bolsters.

Gotta actually work today.

VB, I saw your boat last Friday and the floor looks good. You will be safe at any speed. The paint job on my boat ran into glitch, the fade came out with tiny dots (fish eyes) and it will be trailered to a paint shop on Wednesday the 15th and be done on Thursday the 16th. You are next with a major paint job. My rigging will start and I will be able to take some pics. Stay tuned. GMMM

Hope they get the paint thing worked out soon. Be sure and post us some pictures when you can. I am hoping that the motor and will be in and the paint done when I return from LOTO.

VB, my 24 was trailered to All American (Scott) by Barbie to finish the paint fade today. It will be done tomorrow and your paint is next. Once the paint is done, they can start rigging my OB version of the 24. GaryMMM

The boat is at the paint shop, I think Jo said it should be done around the end of next week (paint that is). Motor is suppose to be in sometime next week too. Linda said after the paint something like 10 days work remained on the boat. Jo said he met with the painter last night to make a few changes to the paint design to align it with the sunpad and the stars.

I'm getting pretty excited. It may even be famous at a later date!

Raymonds at LOTO???? Its worth a try, but thats a long haul to broker it and not very easy to check up on.

I still have the Baja also. I think I'm going to run it in the Midwest Performance Poker Run this Saturday and see if I can spark some interest in it. If I don't get anything serious, I'm going to broker it with Midwest. There used inventory is real low right now and there commision is only 7%.

5 years ought to be just about right! Boat is at the paint shop still, Jo is going to go look at it tomorrow and I hope to have an update for you at that time. My surveyor is going to go out when the paint is done to get some more pictures for the photo album.

I have been out of the loop for a while - When is your boats completion date . Is the 575 installed yet ?

Dock I am so easy on boats it won't need to be freshend ;) plus it's a 2003 model so it will only be 4 years old in 5 years so your getting a heck of a deal just due to that!

J I should know a lot more this week, paint was suppose to be done this week, Jo is going out tomorrow to look at it according to Linda and Linda also said that the motor is suppose to arrive this week! They were working on the red as I understand it. I looked at the Cig at Raymonds in the ozarks and the used 2 reds and some gray fades to make the ribbon on that boat. Looking forward to getting Pete out there to get some more pics, it's not like having the boat, but at least I get to see it from time to time!!!

Hoping we will get to set a devliery date sometime soon, then I can pay off on the delivery and speed guesses, well hve to get some motor time before we will get the speed dialed in, but you know what I mean

Got an e-mail from Jo tonight and he looked at the paint and only said "wow". I hope he is right!!! Said the paint should be done friday afternoon or saturday!

VB, I saw your boat today at the factory. The paint is incredible. I have never seen anything like it. The red and blue are very bright. If your guy can't take a picture, I will try my luck with digital cameras. Your boat will really standout anywhere, even in Miami. The decals are also very cool. The rigging will start soon. My boat needs the engine and the interior. Maybe this week. Yours is next out the door. PS: You will not believe the high quality of the rigging. GaryM
