Something with #3s! :angry-smiley-038:

I got the yellow 28 from Maryland. We brought it home last night. Yes to number 3's.
|
Congrats... I'm glad someone saved that boat.

Finally!! Congrats! I like that yellow #3 boat!

I like it too. I was extremely surprised at the condition of the hull. I was thinking it would be extremely faded out and it is not. It is actually pretty shiny. The hull survey came back dry and solid except for some moisture showing up around the drain plug area. I am going to see about getting that dried up hopefully and fix what is leaking. The back seat is rough but not as bad as I was thinking. Now hopefully the motors and drives are as good as the guy says as far as condition. Now for the trailer, it won't go much over 60 with out being all over the place. Came all the way back from Maryland to Ohio at 55 it was long. We left at 530 got back at 245 this morning.

congrats. pics pics pics.

I'll have to get some pics. I think it is going to Lake Cumberland this weekend. I hope it goes well.
Rick, we need to get together sometime so you can show us how to go boating in the Keys, particularly Holiday Isle area and the sand bar I have heard about. Would love to do that some day. |
That's great! congrats .... that is a nice looking boat, love the color yellow with black accents.
I hear ya on the tow home .... one time I brought a 28 Cigarette back from South Florida with a Bronco and halfway home lost a bearing & spindle on the third axle 7pm on a Sunday night. Had to chain the axle to the trailer to lift it off the road but lost a lot of the tongue weight, so 45 MPH max or swing out of control. Long ride home! |
Congrats on the new ride !!! I've said it before & I will say it again if I wasn't deep in a project now that boat would have been in TN 2 years ago no b.s. Glad to hear its gonna be back in commission soon... Its a Way cool boat in my opinion !!
I have No doubt that Rick knows the area very well..;) however I know another cat that also knows that area like the back of his hand..:D.. Man I would like to be back down that way with a group of offshore boats running someday !! |
Glad to hear that ! Let me know how it runs.
Regards, JO |

Got it all permanently plotted in my GPS, may be going down in 2 weeks to meet some of the outboard guys at Caribean club, and run to holiday isle:drink: |
The swaying trailer, is that caused by not enough tongue weight?
|
Anyone going to Cumberland?

It has purple tones. I did photoshop the boat w/ a black side stripe that SLP has used as his avatar though. :D |
Post some pics, I'm not familiar with this boat. Congrats on the new ride.

I would move it forward on the trailer if you can and check all the normal maintenance stuff. Someone offers a sway control add on system but I have never used it before. Our new Ford trucks and Expeditions are getting electronic trailer sway control standard along with cross wind correction..... pretty cool for towing. |
If i get to some internet i can post the pic, congrats BB28

Hopefully I will get some pics from Cumberland this weekend.

Hatch looks good.

Got back from Cumberland Monday late afternoon. We had a blast. Boat ran pretty well, it never stranded us. I do want to thank NEVERSATISFIED for loaning me his jump pack when one of the batteries decided to take a break on Sunday. The boat has some idling issues and the back seat is rough but everything else worked all weekend. Hopefully I can email someone some pics so they can post them for me.
