Also NO LIMIT said he will have his boat ready, PANTERA28TS ???? What about some of the guys from Lake George anyone have contacts with them. Probably just keep this at the top for a week or two and see how many can commit, come on guys. Dr. DAN how many years has the Donzi gathering been going on?
Is it a Donzi event or a gathering that happens at a poker run, and about how many Donzi's show. Just curious, thanks Jaime

As long as it's in an old Pantera, it doesn't matter.
The newer ones have the more modern speed numbers.
The older ones are just flat out style and history, the beginning of the bloodline.
For the record, when I bought mine, I was SPECIFICALLY looking for one that had the original tall stainless-steel lifeline down the deck. To me, that is one of the things that makes my boat as cool as it is.

Mine came with one, but it wasnt original, something someone had made up, so I modenized it with the low profile one.

How about July? July 15 (fri.) or even start July 14 (thurs.)

I would be interested in joining but would have to play it by ear.

Not sure if I would be able to get the time off work.

That would be cool, maybe we could meet up on the way...Norm Dascher (Green Eyes) is up in Lake George NY, I live on the Mason Dixon line in South Central Pennsylvania along interstate 83.

We could either head down to Atlanta and over or cut across on I-70 and down I-75 from there... or the scenic Interstate 81 and the 10,000 Trucks that run that route everyday?

From organizing car meets in the past with no entry fee I would say you can count on 30% of the people that swear they will be there actually show up.
So if your looking for 30 or so boats look for 100 or so people saying they will come.
We had one meet where we had entry fees, hotels booked you name it and out of 30 prepaid entries only ten cars actually showed up. Good thing is we all ended up with 3 times the tshirts since they were already paid for,LOL..

I am pretty open on dates, I have plenty of vacation time, only thing is any time around June and July work best, as my wife is a teacher, and has the summer off(she probably wont tag along, but it is easier to get away when she is home for the summer taking care of biz). I am also open to location, Destin sounds as good to me as anywhere, but it would help to have some local knowledge along, I know if we ran Miami, or the keys, it would be WOT for long periods with no fear of running aground. One thing we could do if we do not get anyone local to go, is to plan a route best we can with GPS, then have afew boats make a slow(er) run at it Friday, and make any adjustments to Saturdays run at that point, I am pretty sure everything else(hotels, docks, ramps, destinations) can be figured out with online searches. One suggestion before picking a date would be to do a search of other events in the area, and make our decision based on having them coincide with the event, or a different weekend to avoid the crowd. One more thing I just realized is that SBI just put out their 2011 schedule. They are having a race in Miami June 3-5, that is a little sooner than we were planning, and a little further drive than some were planning, but would be neat to coincide with that, their are many places to visit/hang out in miami, and the keys with a Pantera. If you like the idea of coinciding with a race, there is also July 1-3 in Sarasota, and Sept 1 – Oct 2 in Clearwater, all great destinations. OPA also usually has the race, and Miami to Bimini challenge, mid June. Keep in mind I am not saying Destin is bad, just throwing some other ideas for locations/dates out there.
