battery Set up

i have an 89, 24 Pantera. Set up for one battery. Person before me glassed in a stand for it that was trapping water. I want to take this out and set the boat up for two batteries. What would be the best set up? I am guessing Ii would have one battery on each side of the engine to help balance things out. I am looking at the Eddie Marine boxes that mount on the side of the stringers. Any feedback?

Ive run them one on each side with Gil battery trays and moved them as far forward as I could to try and remove weight from rear. Worked fine for me.

Make sure you run a jumper wire under the back seat, just in case. ;)

Yes. :drink:

I put a 2-bank charger under my back seat so I don't have to open the engine hatch in order to charge the batteries... :coolcowboy:

Here is a pic of where mine were on my 28.
The battery boxes were on the bottom on the outside and bolted through the stringer on the inner side

They were Gil boxes and exactly the same as the ones Rex Marine sells http://shopping.rexmar.com/Merchant2...ode=batboxcast
