Hey bear paw,

Congrats on the new Pantera 28!! I hope you enjoy it for many years.I have a Video of the 28 you purchased when it aired on a TV Series called Thunder in Paradise with Hulk Hogan the wrestler. The scene has your boat driven with some pirates in the water that steal jewelery and cash from boaters and a dramatic gun fight begins with your boat and the Thunder in paradise scarab. It last for a few minutes and your boat looks great.

If I can help you with any input on your 28 feel free to call or email me here at Pantera.

Regards, JO:D

Nice find there Bearpaw. Kind of what I want for next year. 28', twins, fast, good in the rough also equals smooth in the wakes for her!

The comment about HP475's got me curious. Friend bought an old 1980 Fountain/Garbrecht-Excalibur Executioner 31 project boat that came with HP475's and what I think are #3 drives. They had been freshened up before he got it. The boat's just about ready to put the engines back in after we check them out on Leon Dereberry's dyno up on Lake Texoma. The boat had stainless 5 gal tanks on the firewall for either water or alcohol injection too.

I'd love to know more about these old classics. If anybody could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott
