Refreshing the Pantera

Just finished doing some work on the Pantera. When you get into these boats you just can't help but notice how well they're made. Recovered the seats... everything is composite and stainless- made the job easy. Replaced the older Lonseal floor- got past the floor that the previous owner installed with something that didn't stick very well and let water below the Lonseal. There was also a seam as they installed the interior product, and not the exterior Lonseal that comes in 8' widths. So I expected some issues... only 4 screw holes had rot around them, all of the factory cutouts were sealed with resign and were in great shape. I drilled, dried, and G-Flex epoxied the the 4 screw areas and scraped/sanding the old glue off. Installed the new Lonseal exterior floor down with their epoxy product and used the 8' width so no seams. Then took out the little plastic inserts in the drains, so that the drains are flush with the floor, and epoxied the drain holes so everythings smooth. Then let epoxy soak into the new holes drilled for the seats and bedded the bases with silicon. Replaced a worn gimbal ring with a JR Marine rebuild using their method and cover plate- great system that was straight forward and easy: www.jrmarine.com . Add the Livorsi Vantage View gauges put in a few months ago and this girls looking good for a 1999!

I've seen 66mph in cool weather. Supercharge it for speed, it's a well balanced boat, and gets 2mpg.
