anyone seen the sending unit on a tank for a 28

Hey Guys,
Yes, I know where it is....lol

I wondered what the profile looks like on it. I'm going to make another fuel pick up for my tank and I don't want it to interfere with the sending unit. The sending unit in my tank is fairly close to where I want to mount the new pick up. I just didn't want to break the seal an fiddle with it if I could avoid it. I will remove it if necessary to scope it out but would rater not if possible.

Currently I'm using both pick ups in the tank to feed into one main line but it's not working for me so I'm going to do something different. Thanks for your input.

Mine is an 88 and it was a wire with a float mine was not working and I replaced it with one of gaffrigs units.

Did the Gaffrig look like the stock one?
If so I'll google the image

Tom, I had to replace mine when I bought my boat and it was the arm and float version. I also replaced it with the Gaffrig electronic version that is a tube that goes straight down from the sender head - http://www.gaffrigperformance.com/pr...m=15&prdt=9140

I just can't recall what my depth was ... Jo could help you there, plus I have the 90 gallon race tank so mine may be different. FYI - Mike

Got ya. Mine works, although it goes from full to empty too dang quick...hehe.

I suppose I can always change the sender to a sleeker profile if I fear a conflict.

I'm either going to boar a separate hole or reconfigure one of the existing ones.

I would bet that it is a Gaffrig/Livorsi sender that is just a straight tube down.
