28 Pantera splash vs 24/7

I've always wondered how it is that the 24 pantera has been splashed by twenty plus manufactures but nobody has copied the 28 with any success . No I don't have anything up my sleeve , just courious because everyone is always asking about used 28's for sale and there's just not ever many on the market . And despite all the criticism people give Pantera for their business practice you've got to give it up to them for name recognition . You've got people all over the world looking for Pantera's . Look at how many have wound up in the UK , Switzerland and isn't there some in Japan .

I do belive the 24/7 wasn't pantera's too begin with, so its a splash in itself...

HaHaHa - Again :D

Those American kid's will never learn geography.

The 27/28 Magnum hull (from what 28 Pantera came from) is splashed many many times!!!

In SWEDEN we have Boghammar Magnum 28, Arrow 830.

Was it legal to splash a boat 25 years ago and now its not? That 28 for instance has been splashed more than I could possibly guess years ago, splashing boats is not something I hear about much these days.

Switzerland LOL ! They mount skis on the bottom and ride them down the mountain . Funny when I was typing that I drew blank about all the country's I remember them being in . Paul's got my back though ..

And no ! splashing (copying ) has never and will never be legal . You must change 10+ percent from the original . The difference now is the internet . If I splashed a hull today there's pic's and proof for the guy on the west coast to see it the next day . Legal proof . Most new boats are still made off of old boats still just to save a lot of money in tooling . Not to many can afford million dollar 3 axis cnc machines to build their plugs ..

Splashing a 28' would be one way to get it done on time and cost.

I did not know that. 10% doesn't seem like a large change considering someone is getting ripped off.

Lol ! There's a 95% chance they ripped theirs off too . If you took the time to track down the hertiage of every hull you would find that there was probably only about 10 boats that started the whole offshore seen and it would probably lead you rite down to 188th street
