Stereo in cuddy?

Thinking Im going to start a stereo install tomorrow and put the majority in under the deck of the 24. With the small door and two hatches should still be audible when beached up and out of the way. Has anyone done this? how did it work out? Thanks.

I guess Im in the minority on this project or maybe the Pantera guys arent into the stereo thing. Just wondering how this will sound.

Spent a few days gathering stuff, measuring stuff, making templates of stuff, cutting stuff and screwing stuff together. Well Im making a little headway and having some fun along the way.

coming along nice, what setup you thinking about running? I just started to get my audio stuff together too..

I went with an inexpensive system, nothing is top line. I have 2 10" Kickers, 2 12" kickers going under the deck. 2 6.5s, 2 3.5s and two tweets going in the side panels behind the front seats next to the rear seat and two 6x9s near the floor at the back seat. 1 1300 watt and 2 800 watt amps for that stuff. I also have another 1300 watt amp that I may run some 8" subs under the rear seat, still up in the air about that though. My boat has two batteries now and I will add 2 more up front in the storage locker with an isolator. Also having my alternator redone to like 200 amps. Its a long term project for sure.

Wow.. That's on another level right there.. Lol, majority of systems in the cabin, might get some distortion from the glass.. And stress cracks after time, why not put the subs above deck? What head unit you thinking of running? I'm looking into a standard horizon cpn10.. It's a glorified media player, GPS, wifi enabled.. Like an indash

The 2 10s and 2 12s are below deck, all else are above. If all are setup properly distortion won't be an issue. I havent picked the head unit yet but I can get 50% off JL Audio so I may get a JL deck not sure yet. Im not a basshead, I dont listen to rap at all, its super overkill for me I just love a good project. And its a '78 Pantera its overbuilt and really heavy duty so I dont think stressing it will be an issue. I will keep photos posted as I go.

Got the under deck boxes sealed, glassed and carpeted this weekend. I had just enough time to install the boxes wire the subs and mount the amps. I need to build the small connector piece (top) that connects the amp mounting panels then the RCAs and power wires next.
