OK a couple things worked on today. My wind screen was painted over, not sure if it was to make the hull look more current (my thinking since the lifeline is gone too) or because it was old and full of crazing. Either way I had a guy come over and look at it, he said to DA it down to remove the paint then he will polish it up to look new or if its too bad off he will build me a new one. Here it is before, I will get some sanding in this week.

Next is my water pickup, got it stripped and will get it powder coated this week, then I'll match paint to the coating for some later paint work.

Next was the stripping of the drive, I was a little worried about just how much body filler I would need to get it looking good because it looked like hell.

As stripping started I realized there was ALOT of paint, black, primer, white, primer, black, primer, yes 6 coats.

As I stripped thru the layers I realized, no filler would be necessary as the case is absolutely spotless under those thick protective layers.

As promised here are a few pics from today. Got it jacked up and got under the floor as best as I could and flushed out the hull, at first I figured I was washing out excess soda from blasting the bilge. Actually what I found was a bunch of sand.

Next I pulled the carpet up and pulled the windshield off. As you can see from previous pics the windshield had been painted white, Im going to try to strip it and polish it back to original.

Looking good.

Will you do me a favor? Can you put a straight edge on your cockpit sides front to back and then top to bottom and shoot me a photo? I'm trying to figure out how straight the sides should be.

Thank you!

Got it out so I'll get you the pics today. Did get started on the cleaning of the transom and buffing though, not going to be as good as I hoped for but it does shine nice and will be better than it was.

Windshield is striped of paint, it looks real bad. Discoloration and full of cracks. Had a polycarbonate guy come to look at it, he's just going to do a new one for me since this one is so far gone.

Didn't have a whole lot of time today but I managed to get the hinge pins out and some stripping done.
