525SC in a 24? will it fit under stock hatch?

Anyone know if I can fit a 525SC in my 1981 24 SE under stock hatch?

I just looked at pics of my old 24. Im gonna take a shot and say no it wont. I think the Combat Zone had to have a hatch made or modified

A 24 Banana is completely different hull. It's a 24x8, not a 24x7 hull so it may be deeper under the hatch.

Maybe I should ask this a different way, anyone running a top mount supercharger on a big block chevy with a carb on top? Does it fit?

I seen those 525SC's in the swap shop and it got me thinking...

Do you have a picture of where the hatch sits in relation to the deck. I think the SE may have 2. 1/8 inches of more hatch height although it still may not be enough.

yeah i know, i dunno still might give you some ideas. Either way scarab63 probably has the answer. I think you would need to put a scoop on the hatch to fit it personally

My old boat had a blower hatch. On a regular sun pad hatch I'd say you'll need to add a aftermarket scoop for clearance. It shouldn't need much though.......the 525 should be about 5,6" taller than a n/a motor with a high rise intake.

I had a Innovation Marine 500EFI in mine. It used the Holley EFI system and I had about 2" to spare. So, I doubt a blower set up would fit. Hope that helps.
