Pantera Gone?
Looking for some pantera parts.. Rub rail etc.. I've called both numbers on there website both disconnected same as the one on there fb? Anyone got a good number for them or are them MIA already?
|
They are out of commission for a while. Give it some time and hopefully they will return at some capacity and build boats again. The parts they use can be found at most Marine supply stores. Go to TACO's Web sight and find your rub rail and a distributor you can purchase it through.
|
Ya that's what I figured.. I was hoping they sold them pre bent so its less chance of me messing it up..lol, Its really only a little chip that's missing I wanted to fix. Really only need like 6ft of it but they sell it in 20ft increments
|
Never forget Berk.
|
I wonder if they sold the molds to another builder or they have them hidden away for a later time ?
|
IMO they wont be back unless someone buys the molds and moves forward with all of it.
|
Pepe, Linda and Joe have changed both the Pantera Company Name and its Ownership many times throughout the years and it will not surprise one little bit to see those guys Re-Open the Pantera Doors once again.., but only Time will Tell...
|
I find it odd that they disconnected both numbers. Not sure if that has happened in the past.
|
They're not getting any younger, their reputations are shot (but not the reputations of the boats in existence) and the performance boat industry is in the crapper. I think they are done.

Seems like none of you besides OCCJOE really know what's going on. I have no intrest in the company or anything but it sucks for people to bash without knowing the FACTS which is nothing that yall have mentioned nor is it my position to bring up. Just know the fact be4 talking. That's how rumors starts and that's why OSO has become what it has become and and it's nothing like it was before.

I'm talking about in regards to why no one can get in contact with them at the current moment. Nothing about court docs or anything.

As I said in another thread the Nuez family is going through some personal health issues . I hope when this certain person is better they will start building boats again .
That being said , I believe in the Pantera brand and like most people I believe in the quality of the boats . I however do not care for their business practices and I know for a fact they owe a lot of people money including several of my friends (Wylie-Rat) . There's no way they could every pay any of these people back . You can blame the court system for that . Not just with Pantera but with any business that does someone wrong . If a business is not forced to pay judgement and they are aloud to change names and ownership to avoid paying then people for years to come will be done wrong . I like Jo , Pepe, and Linda on a personal level but then again the business I did with them went well .But I didn't give them a deposit for a boat either . The last time I heard from Jo and Pepe was when they called me up and bi+ched me out for voicing my opinion on OSO . So even though I have said good and bad about them I don't think they have any love for me . I do pray for them to pull through their currant situation and return to the business . In the end what I would love to see and yes this is harsh but I think its time for Pepe and Linda to retire and start enjoying some of that Florida sunshine . Jo needs to hire a financial business manager to manage the funds and build schedule . Then hire a very minimal crew to help with layup and then just take one boat at a time . With power, hardware, and upholstery costing approximately 60K for a 28 single its very hard to not fall into the robbing Peter to pay Paul syndrome . I'll bet there's not one member on OSO that could come up with a build schedule that would allow a boat to be built without a bank backing you , without being paid in full before boat is finished , or without using your next customers deposit to complete the last boat . Now take two peoples hands out of the pot and the build funds have a little bit better chance of being used to complete boat and not being used to live on . Just my 2cents . Maybe I know nothing . Maybe I know nothing about the situation . But a lot of people know the truth about how business was conducted in the past and a lot of people run their mouths and have no real knowledge of what has happen . Peace ! |
^^^^ what is said in the first sentence and that's all I want to say to. And what I said in a past post holds water.
|
Looks like trying to drum up sympathy for an outfit that has phucked over quite a few people.

Fvck Symphony! But I don't want the Pantera boats to be done being built no more then I wanted to see fountains stop building without reggie or Outerlimits without Mike. .
I have a Superboat and I'm worried what happens to them when Coan is to old to build, Activator fell when Angelo died. The way it's going there will be no custom builders left |

I am sorry to hear about Pantera. Hopefully everyone can make it through their health issues. Joe, Outerlimits isn't going anywhere and will be around for many years custom building boats.

I hope those with not so complimentary opinions about the Nunez's can give it a rest for a while. Also any talk about selling off the business. Pepe and Linda lost their only son. many of us here are friends of the family....Good friends. I lost my friend last week....not a guy who builds boats, but a friend. Many others I imagine feel the same way about Jo and his family....good bad or indifferent I ask that we all show a bit of decorum until the shock passes. This loss has rocked the Nunez's family.....

Who cares. A son lost his father, wife lost her husband.
Boats are stupid play toys for grown men in the grand scheme of it all. Maybe have some class guys and let the dust settle. |

Jo happened to be a great friend of mine for the past 20 years. I'm not too familiar with his or his families business practices but I can assure Jo was an excellent friend, father, husband and son! He's one of the most honorable, straight up, dedicated people I have ever met. Always willing to lend a helping hand while not expecting anything in return. He was truly one of my best friends and he will surely be missed. I know his parents are going through perhaps one of the most difficult times of their lives. I appreciate all your posts and respect for him and his family.
An Instagram page "pantera_boats" was created in Jo's honor. Please follow and feel free to send your pics in or simply tag them "pantera_boats". Thanks again! |
