Hey Jo, Great Pictures!

I have a 1977 P&D Marine 24 ft Deep Vee that was bought new at the Miami boat show by a friend who is no longer with us. His Father passed the boat along to me 7 years after his death. It set out in the weather for the 7 years before I recieved it. I took it to restore it and it will take alot of work.
It looks excatly like the 24 Pantera's of the 1975-77 vintage. Exactly! There was a picture on your web site of a 1975 24 Pantera Red and White with bow lights that looks Identicale to my old P&D.

What do you know about the P&D Marine boats? I was powered by a 330 hp Mercruiser with 3 drive. I have the cockpit tub removed along with the engine, drive and stringers. I intend on making it better than is was originally and I would like to know if you have any objections if I finished it out with Pantera Logo's?

I would never represent it as a true Pantera, My paper shows it to be a P&D Marine boat and thats what it is!

Oh, BTW,It is a White boat with Red sides. It has Excaliber II on the side really large and it had red and white candy striped interior. I was told by the father of the man that bought it new, that it was bought that way at the Miami boat show in 1977.

Let me know anything you can about this boat.

I was told that is was the same mold as the original Pantera, Superboat and another boat that I forget.

Thanks, Chuck!

Love the Old Pictures! Love the New Pantera's!

This boat looks exactly like my 1977 P&D Marine Boat.

This picture was taken while we were located in 188 ST. in Thunder Boat Row. This 24 last I heard was located in Illinois and called WICKED.

This is a 1991 24 that is located in Puerto Rico powered with a 454 Magnum.

Puerto Rico is a small Island with rough water Ocean boating year around. The word gets around quick on what boat can handle big seas. That is the reason why our boats are so pouplar over there and WON many championships in the Island.

My wife surprised me the other day with some old Pantera sales flyers that she found for sale on Ebay. Sorry about the quality, we had to take pictures since the scanner is broke.

JO - PANTERABOATS 02-10-2004 12:53 PM

That's incredible that someone would actually sell early Pantera brochures on EBAY.They look in mint condition to.

It makes us proud to know that are brochures mean that much to some people.

I had brought up this topic ( Pantera pics. from the early days ) in the main board last week. Maybe you can post these brochures pics. there since I am sure more board members will enjoy seeing them.

How much did the brochures bring in on EBAY ??

Regards,

JO - Pantera Boats:)

Faster! 02-10-2004 01:51 PM

Wife said she paid $20 for the brochures, she gave them to me for a birthday gift along with a Pantera sweatshirt and T. I think she keeps a stored search for Pantera items on EBAY
:D

I will try to get pictures of the rest of the brochures. If I have time tonight I may even type up the 24' review. (Wish the scanner was working)

Jo, I will update the thread in general discussion once I get the rest of the pictures into the computer.

Jim

I think I am going to frame a couple of them. The picture of the black M-24 is by far the best of the batch.

They are all in very good shape. Only problem is that the dealer stamped their name, address, and phone # across the front of a few of them. :(

JO - PANTERABOATS 02-10-2004 02:18 PM

What was the name of the dealer stamped on the brochures?? My Father had approximately 15 dealers in the late 70s early 80s located in the U.S. and Europe selling Pantera Boats. We would deliver two 24s every week and one 28' every 2 weeks. Most of these boats are still running around in good shape and some are out on the race coarse.

Regards,

JO:)
