Look what the cat dragged in...
Finally found and purchased a turn key Pantera! As some know, I painted my other 24 and just haven't had time to finish. And I figured id have wayyyy too much invested before it even hit the water. So found this, and grabbed it. The First "SE" pantera. Built for Pepe's friend in 78. Boat is 95% original. Perfect interior, couple minor imperfections in hull. But all around a True survivor..Im sure you all the know story on the boat, so I wont bore you all. I plan on a minor dash facelift, and wiring work. But overall, just clean it up and run it!

I rode in that boat a few years ago with Tim. It seemed to run very well. Cool old boat.

Put some "Fountain Skanks" in them seats and you have a winner. Great boat and purchase. Keep it original.
|
Technically, an International Harvester dragged that in.
Nice boat! I too have a 7.3L that I'll keep forever, but I don't have a kick-ass original old-school boat though. Congrats! |
I will try to post some up...I bought the dark brown 24 that was on Lake Winnipesaukee no one ever came to look at it per the owner and it was a real find. Has a 260/merc1 package but its a great boat for the rivers and lakes....

if you want, pm me and i can give you just about all of the history on that boat back to day on. that boat had been in my town most of it's life and the guy who owned it was a good family friend. if it hasnt been removed, look under the hatch and check out the oil change interval dates and hours, they got their monies worth lol. enjoy
|
Ill do that...My Dad knew Tup Goodhue and as you may know that its called a Tup Goodhue Marine Edition, and my dad was from Wolfeboro as well. The guy I purchased the boat from was a great guy. He loved the boat but the family out grew it. I brought it back to Maryland and its been garaged kept and completely detailed..every inch...I think it may be the cleanest vintage Pantera in the country.

That thing is BEAUTIFUL!! Those of us that grew up in the 70s' and 80s' may appreciate the brown more than some but, DAMN that boat is COOOOOOOL!!! Please don't change a thing and list it on here if you decide to let it go. One of us 40 or 50 somethings will snatch it up. Enjoy!

I really love it...I would prefer a big block to a 260/merc1 package, but it runs pretty good...Maybe a hot smallblock/bravo setup for the future? dunno...I hate to touch it!
