Look what the cat dragged in...

Finally found and purchased a turn key Pantera! As some know, I painted my other 24 and just haven't had time to finish. And I figured id have wayyyy too much invested before it even hit the water. So found this, and grabbed it. The First "SE" pantera. Built for Pepe's friend in 78. Boat is 95% original. Perfect interior, couple minor imperfections in hull. But all around a True survivor..Im sure you all the know story on the boat, so I wont bore you all. I plan on a minor dash facelift, and wiring work. But overall, just clean it up and run it!

Yep! it's the same boat. No, someone removed the switch panel and installed indicators. I will be replacing the original panel and relocating indicators.

I had to! Realized even if I put 20k into mine. It's still a boat that's painted, and I'd have too much into it. This ones got pretty cool history. And got a great deal on it.

class6 01-24-2016 07:06 PM

It sat for 20 years or something like that.

I rode in that boat a few years ago with Tim. It seemed to run very well. Cool old boat.

Jake1250 01-25-2016 07:36 AM

Post some pictures!

Put some "Fountain Skanks" in them seats and you have a winner. Great boat and purchase. Keep it original.

Sydwayz 01-25-2016 08:50 AM

Technically, an International Harvester dragged that in.

Nice boat! I too have a 7.3L that I'll keep forever, but I don't have a kick-ass original old-school boat though.
Congrats!

I will try to post some up...I bought the dark brown 24 that was on Lake Winnipesaukee no one ever came to look at it per the owner and it was a real find. Has a 260/merc1 package but its a great boat for the rivers and lakes....

Ahh!! I remember that boat. I LOVE IT! Wanted it so bad. Then couldn't find it online anymore. That boat is perfect! Where is it now? Where are you located?

cig92 01-26-2016 07:54 PM

if you want, pm me and i can give you just about all of the history on that boat back to day on. that boat had been in my town most of it's life and the guy who owned it was a good family friend. if it hasnt been removed, look under the hatch and check out the oil change interval dates and hours, they got their monies worth lol. enjoy

Jake1250 01-27-2016 05:32 PM

Ill do that...My Dad knew Tup Goodhue and as you may know that its called a Tup Goodhue Marine Edition, and my dad was from Wolfeboro as well. The guy I purchased the boat from was a great guy. He loved the boat but the family out grew it. I brought it back to Maryland and its been garaged kept and completely detailed..every inch...I think it may be the cleanest vintage Pantera in the country.

Who is this directed towards? Lol Me or Jake1250? Thanks

bulletbob 01-27-2016 06:08 PM

That thing is BEAUTIFUL!! Those of us that grew up in the 70s' and 80s' may appreciate the brown more than some but, DAMN that boat is COOOOOOOL!!! Please don't change a thing and list it on here if you decide to let it go. One of us 40 or 50 somethings will snatch it up. Enjoy!

Jake1250 01-28-2016 07:37 AM

I really love it...I would prefer a big block to a 260/merc1 package, but it runs pretty good...Maybe a hot smallblock/bravo setup for the future? dunno...I hate to touch it!

Jake1250 01-28-2016 10:13 AM

http://www.xplodepowerboats.com/clas...ecial-edition/ Found an old ad before I bought it.....Boat is twice as clean now
