The 28 never had a "bolt on" fiberglass windshield on the 28s. The boats that look to have a fiberglass window is actually part of the upper deck. So its either make one or most people cover the factory bolt on window with aluminum and paint it to match.

Just to let you know the newer 28's with a fiberglass window is
Not part of the casted upper deck. It's a separate piece that gets glassed on after.
I've seen the mold personally because I owned the last 28 SR that left the factory before Jo's
Passing. I've spoke to Pepe about making it but they are not ready yet for
Fabrication so more than likely I will have to make it myself.

The older ones were fiberglass on too.

I'm sure he had s custom mold for the F1 boats as far as windscreen but the deck are all the same. I saw this up close at the factory. I'm going to be making the windshield myself, actually I'll be making a plug first so I will have a mold for these windscreens. I'm going to get some measurements from someone locally who has a 28 and begin fabrication. I'll post some pics once it's done. If anyone here on the site wants to help with providing measurements it would be gladly appreciated.

Glassdave might be able to make it.

Don't waist your time ! Do the math Yamil 20+ hours for a plug 20+ hours for the mold $250 materials before you make the first one . Now you have a mold that you have to store and manage for a windscreen that nobody else need except for you . If there was 20 people needing them at $800 a piece its a no brainer .
Just build you a one off from a sheet of core foam , wrap it in glass and gel coat it . Done !

Look who decided to show up. How's the deck on the 24' that you been making for the past 4 years.
I've always wanted to see the finished product. You know I'll make the plug because I can I ain't worried about how long is going to take me I have no rush to get the boat on the water. I have a 32' Fountain which I enjoy every other weekend. I don't make a living of boats or fiberglass this is my hobby and passion..So thanks for your input hope all is well.

Wasn't trying to insult you . Just giving you a little advice as you can benefit from my mistake . You remember when I made the carbon fiber hatch for Scarab63's Pantera ? So we used the old hatch boarder to make a plug , Then we built a mold from it , Made the first part but had an air bubble in it but had success with the second one . I think I charged $3000.00 for it and probably lost about $500 out of my own pocket . Not one person has called me wanting one for their boat . Now in the long run we continued to make just the scoop out of the center of the mold and I've sold 7 of those at $350 a piece .
Just do the math is all I'm saying . You could probably make $5000 picking up scrap metal in the time its gonna take you to build a mold .

As far as my 24, the plug is done and beautiful but my primary business has blow up keeping us so busy. I myself had to make a decision for love or money ! I went with the money and I'll probably build boats for love when I retire from my custom shop and let my son have it .
