Looking for Another 28
 

I'm crazy and think i want another 28. I shouldn't have ever sold my F1 boat. Another race boat would be great.... But open to fast 28s. PM me or post up ones that are not listed.

I want something faster. The current boat is quick. But i like the light weight single Io more than the twin io setup.

That boat is local to me and has been on my mind since seeing it listed earlier this spring.
I was looking at it 5-6 years ago too.
Never got to look into it very good, but thought it was low hour and use boat.
Would like to learn more if possible.
Appreciate any info if possible and don't mind.

Boat was not rigged by pantera, transom and stringers are soaking wet. Transom had a mushroom growing out of it. Oil filters in the pictures of the engine are present from two owners ago. Boat sold for low 30s 4 years ago. Then about 3 years ago it was discovered it was really wet and that owner sold it on a fire sale because he couldn't afford the repairs.
I hate saying something about someones boat. But dont want to see someone get taken advance of either.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like its a 1987 with Twins. They did 2800 dollars worth of work on it. Owners out of the country.

they mainly are bass boat people and service. . Prob their first sport boat in a very long while.to come thru their doors. Not saying it a bad way but Im sure even the word Pantera is greek to them. And If you asked them what is an Active Thunder the response would be I have never heard of that rock band before. That is sad to hear.
It was only about 10 miles from my home about 6-8 years ago and I was really close at a price that I still regret not pulling the trigger on then.
I had just bought a little Bronco earlier and just didn't want to spend more $$ so soon.
I was told that it sat as a bare hull for a long time then got power and put together later.
It looked nice then but I never got to check it out really well.
After selling the Bronco called back on the boat and it got bought a day earlier or that day.
Missed by that much.
Been seeing the recent ads and emailed seller.
I was told that they were the ones who bought it after I saw it.
Sad to hear that it wasn't taken care of.
The current asking price is quite a bit higher than what I looking at it for years ago.
I figured that the boat market and prices have actually changed quite a bit since then and that is what helped drive the price up.
Hearing the sad news keeps me from thinking about that one anymore.

The pictures of the bilge are not impressive. I dont see 780 hp out of that engine. It has 180 hrs on it. In my mind its time for a rebuild. Plus stock B1 drive.

Oh and salt water boat without closed cooling.

As long as the boat has a good hull and not wet then a good detail would make it impressive again.

a lot of nice and clean pantera boats sell for below 29k. Hell the 36 pantera sold for mid 30s.

I sold my f1 boat way to cheap. I should not have listened to people tell me that the f1 is worth less than any other pantera.

Usually its the buyers telling you it worthless. That has happened to me more than a few times.....:argue: :drink:

i know you want a 28 but probably one of the cleanest 24's just got listed
fresh water, stored indoors, shines as new, some upgrades, low hours, all white.
every thing your after, a clean light fast single engine boat.

Tmones original boat, he sold to me and then me to Zach. Looks as clean as the day I got it. Somebody will score one of the best 24's ever produced.
