Performance with 385HP
Does anyone know what performance you'd get with a 385 HP Engine in a 24' Sport?
How about 420 HP? If I can't get my mototr running right soon, I'm buying a stock one for now!!!! Maybe Jo or Pepe can chime in and let me know what to expect form these motors in my boat! |
Kirk,
I'm gonna guess here but, somewhere between 65 - 72mph could be expected depending on the set-up. Angel |
400 cyclone w trs in mine ran 68 on fresh water. saw 71 a few times on the speedo though.

No question you'll run over 70.

Hey Kirk,
With a 454 MPI 385 HP I have seen on GPS 73 MPH with a stock 3 blade prop. With a 496 HO 425-HP Mercruiser I get 78 MPH on GPS with 2 people and a half a tank of fuel. With a 500 HP carburated Mercruiser 470 HP 83 MPH. These are all GPS speeds with stock props. It is very important to have good conditions to get optimum performance and speed plus a good driver.:p Regards, JO |

Thanks for the input Jo and everyone.
This is my back up plan just in case I am still having problems with my ECU and Supercharger engine. I travel mostly with one Hottie . . . The Wife. She stopped letting me bring the girlfriends out on the boat a while ago!!! |
