Hey Guys,
Here are a few pictures I took on Tuesday of my F2 35 Survivor twin step hull as it is being laid up.We should have it out of the mold early next week.It has an all black gelcoated finish and will have the big flourescent green Pantera cat eyes on it sides. I will post my pictures as it comes out of the mold next week.We are glassing in the stringers and bulkheads now.The deck is sitting here on the floor ready to go on. Regards, JO:) |

Hey Jo ..... Looking real nice ! Any plans for a 40' + in the near future ???
JM |
Cool.
Are the steps going to be a permanent fixture or are they on a trial basis? |
I WAS THERE WITH PEPE AND JO TO SEE THIS LAMINATION TAKE PLACE, F2 RACERS GET READY THIS THING IS GOING TO BE WILD.:D :D :D
|
Hey JM,
A 42 footer is in the very near future but I want to have the 36 Survivor dialed in and promoted at a few shows this Winter and do some racing with it in F2.I would say within the next year My Father and I will begin working on the 42.It will look like the 36 Survivor on steroids.:D Hey Caincando 1, The steps insert can be removed if a customer would decide on a full deep v 36 with no steps but I am confident it is going to perform great and there will be no need to remove it from the mold to build a non step version. We should be seeing a 5-7 MPH increase in performance with the twin steps. The larger the boat the more the increase in performance you will see from steps.I feel the 24 and 28 perform great with out them and look to leave both models as full 24 degree deep v for now. I will post pics. as soon as we pull the hull out of the mold. Regards, JO |
Thanks for the reply Jo ...... The 36 looks awesome ....can't wait to see the next ones coming up .... BTW , Andy Bloom says hello.
Also ....do you still have the 36 that the guy from California changed his mind on ???????? JM |
Looks great jo
Good luck MIke M |

Here are a few updated pictures of the cut down F2 Survivor race boat. This picture was taken with the deck temporarily laid over the hull just to take measurements. The boat will have the hull and deck bonded from the inside and outside with a no rubrail look. The hull is also being lowered from the windscreen area toward the bow approximately 4 inches.
It looks bad ass in person. Regards, JO:p |

WOW!!!!!!!!!
|
way cool!
|
Jo My pics are too dark, your seem to work! I've seen this bad boy in person, it will get more attention than any other F2 the black is bad ass. I would want black on my boat but for your factory boat it's the only way!
|
What's the latest news? Is the construction progressing?
|
What will she get for Power? Can you run the new 525s in F-2?
|
Looks Great Jo
Hope all is well with you and the family. The boat looks great.
My 24 is almost dialed in, running strong and fast...thanks to all of your help and Pepes help!! Post more pictures when you can and stock up on wax...that black looks great, but fades quickly without protection!! |
Hey Lake Front,
Yes,we are progressing very quick and should be racing in August.I just want the boat to be dialed in and ready when it hits the first APBA national.WE are all putting our heads together and working as a team to ensure the boat will be a winner. Hi Pat, The boat will be powered with the Mercruiser 525 EFIs.If you go with the 525 EFIs compared to the 500 efis APBA requires that you add an additional 600 pounds of weight. We will need to make a weight of 8400 pounds after the race without crew. I will keep you all updated in the next couple of weeks. Regards, JO |
Hey Kirk,
I am glad to know your 24 is running good. We have always built our Factory Pantera Race boats in black gelcoat. My Fathers first 24 Pantera race boat Mr. Macho in 1975 was Black hull with a white deck. Then My father went to going all black except for the 24 he raced and Broke the Miami to New York Record with in 1978.That 24 was silver and black. The black gelcoat will normally be 50 degrees warmer out in the sun compared to a white gelcoat boat. The black gelcoat finish with the big flourescent cat eyes looks intimdating while out on the race coarse.:D Regards, JO |
8400lbs !!! That thing is going to be a wave crusher !!!
Any guess how fast she will go ??? Are you going to take down that new 38' Donzi ??? Good Luck JO !!! The boat looks Awesome !!! |
you guys going to be in wisconsin?
|
Hey Joe,
With my recent accident we had a set back for 3 weeks and will not be there.I look forward to racing very soon. Regards, JO |
Maybe we'll see ya in sarasota then!??...hope things work out for ya JO! i look forward to seeing your new ride out there!
|
If that thing runs HALF as good as it looks, you will have a WINNER on your hands!
I can't wait to hear some performance numbers. Please keep us up to date. |
Jo,
Boat looks awesome & has come a long way since my visit 3 weeks ago. Obviously all the hard work is paying off. Michael |
