I bought this boat two months ago and I am doing a complete restoration job on it. It has no hull id on it but it does have a title and the old owner said it was a excalibur. The only problem is that the hull id is wrong for a excalibur It starts with NCR and I can't find any boat company with a prefix of NCR.

It is not a Pantera I think that it is an Excalibur or a Magnum. What drive did it have?

drive

It had a early speedmaster #3 drive that I sold, the engine was pushed fwd to where the aft set was

Looks like a "P&D" manufactured here in Miami in the mid to late 70's.

is it a decent boat? and is there anything special I should look out for

I've never owned one but I'll ask a buddy of mine that use to own one. The only thing I've heard bad about them is that they had a tendency to list to one side. I'm not sure if this was a design flaw or could have been related to rigging. I'll try and find some info. How's the hull?... transom and stringers are they solid?
Looks well kept and nice.

I have completly gutted the cabin and cabin floor. replaced the floor added two more bulk heads in between the stringersand two outboard ones going from the outside stringers to the inside of the hull. today I removed the old fiberglass battery boxes and installed new 3/4 marine plywood deck for the k plane pumps and the batterys to mount on. I figure I will use Gil battery hold downs. I also glassed in a support on each side that runs from the outside stringer across the bottom and up the sides about 3 inches from where the rub rail attaches. lots of fun
