Who Owns a Twin Small Block 28?

I'm just curious as to the performance you're getting with the twin small blocks? Is the boat still a little stern heavy? What kind of power are you running? If you had it to do over again, would you go with a single BB with decent power?

Worthy approach IMO, but pure educated speculation. I was headed down this road before I bought Von Bongo's 28. I had a couple Merc Black Scorpion (Ski boat motors- 340 hp) lined up and I was going to run a pulse drive.

According to the guys at pulse- twin SBC's at 300 each would've been about 4mph faster than a single BBC at 600. Harry Schoell (hope I spelled it right) is one of the principals of pulse and was involved in the design of the 28 Pantera hull- so his .02 ought to be close to the mark.

Not sure if the same holds true for twin bravos, lot of gearcase in the water.

Can't comment on the balance of the boat, obviously better than twin BBC but the balnce with the single BBC seems to be highly regarded.

Where did you hear that?:)

I don't have all the details- and not to take away from the Nunez family, but Jo confirmed it himself when we were discussing my potential project.

Let me confirm that in no way I am trying to minimize the efforts or history of the Nunez family, most all hull designs have some type of design influence- Harry was involved with this one.

I was merely trying to give credence to the discussions I had with the guys at pulse and how they thought there system would perform with twin small blocks vs a single big block in the Pantera 28 hull.

Perhaps my words were too strong- I'll edit, Harry was involved with the design of the Pantera 28 hull.

I was under the undersataniding that the 28 came from a 27 magnum. I was just wondering how Harry was involved in designing the 27 magum.:D :D :D Was Harry involved in the 35/36 bottom?

Jo told me who he was working with on the 35/36, I just can't remember- wasn't Harry though.
