...because I finally bought a Pantera! Needless to say I can't wait for spring. I have a feeling this is going to be the longest winter of my life.

Anyway, I bought Too Old's old 6-pack boat from Offshoresteve. Too Old has it at his warehouse right now doing a little glass patching on the transom and mounting some k-planes.

Here is a quick pic, maybe Fred will post some more when he gets a chance.

Tim G. 11-16-2003 04:43 PM

It's 80 and sunny!!

WELCOME TO THE PANTERA FAMILY,THIS BOARD IS VERY HELPFULL,SO DONY HESITATE TO ASK OR SAY ANYTHING
ABOUT YOUR RIDE.

ALBERT

Faster! 11-17-2003 08:45 AM

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Fred it was great meeting you. Thanks for posting the pictures. You weren't supposed to post a picture of the transom :p

You will have to post some "after" pictures when you get that MESS fixed. Thanks for all of your help.

Tim, I would love to bring the boat down to Fl. but I don't think I could stand to drop her in the salt. She is so clean that would almost be sacreligous.;)

Come on...
My boat is in the salt every time I use it...
I just have to spend a lot of time cleaning it. My boat looks clean...cleaner than a lot of FW boats I know...

Come on down. You won't regret it.

Tim G. 11-17-2003 08:55 AM

hey Fred- Did you ever sell that 35 Fountain????

ScottB 11-17-2003 09:28 AM

salt is where the rough is and if you don't ride it in the rough, you haven't had a true 28 experience

5' rollers with the tops getting knocked off right now!
Running in the ocean really separates the men from the boys..;)

Let's try this strategy....
We know the boat can take it.
Does the new owner have the hair??????????

Faster! 11-17-2003 11:11 AM

I knew I was gonna regret the salt comment the second after I posted it. :)

Out There 12-12-2003 07:20 PM

Jim, We will have to get together this spring on the Lake Lanier. I believe we have the only Panteras on the lake .
I love your boat and its 6 man bolsters.
Also like the sound of those dry pipes! You've got a great boat!

I'm going to have to drag my 24 down to Lake Lanier this summer. That way DonziZX, Faster! and myself can get a pic like Tim G., Angel and Albert.

Chris

Faster! 12-15-2003 07:36 AM

Chris and Greg we definately need to get together and run some this summer.

Greg, where is your place on the lake? Steve thought it was up Young Deer. We are just north of Brown's Bridge near Long Hollow.

Pantera24 12-15-2003 03:32 PM

What we need is a Pantera owners get together...?
How many might be interested ? Although it may seem impartial since I live in Miami. How many might be interested in coming down to Miami for a get together down here? We could make it a 2 or 3 day event with a run down to the Keys. I'm certain if we have enough in attendance I could get a good group rate on Hotel and perhaps some slips?

Angel

duunoit 12-15-2003 04:49 PM

I would love to...

but that would be a 1800 mile round trip for me and a day and a half driving each way. If it did get put together, I would definately like to fly down there if I could bum a ride for me and my wife...

Angel,
We've been talking about this for awhile... You know I'd help organize it.
It makes sense to do it in Miami because the Factory is there... and well, this is south Florida.
We could do it up north somewhere, but hopefully not somewhere that sucks...:p
No problem for owners that need to bum a ride because they're to soft to tow all the way from home.:D

duunoit 12-15-2003 09:53 PM

Tim,
You're killing me:D I'm going to have to make a trip to the factory sometime anyway... Let me know what you guys have planned

Chris

What do we have planned?
There's always something, regardless if we can mobilize a large number of owners...
Be sure to give me, Albert, or Angel a call when you're planning to come to town.

Here's a pic from one Pantera to another when we were in Key West...

Chris

CHRIS,IT ALL DEPENDS WHERE WE LEAVE FROM,
AND WHAT PART OF THE KEYS. AND LAST BUT NOT
LEAST HOW FAST WELL YOU LET ME GO:D ;)

I THINK TIM G. HAS GONE TO THE KEYS FROM MIAMI
WITH THE POWER BOAT CLUB.HOWEVER WE HAVE
A PLACE CALLED ELLIOT KEY THAT IS REAL CLOSE TO
MIAMI.

Tim G. 12-16-2003 03:11 PM

Elliot key is the poc with our three boats...
Key largo is only about 40 minutes south of there...
Holiday Isle is about another 30 minutes south.
Figure Holiay isle is 80-90 miles from the ramp. Depending on water...Albert could have you there in one hour!
